SHIVANI RADIA

Shivani Radia (born 1983) is an emerging female artist currently living and working in Nairobi, Kenya. She is a mother to two boys and her love of painting and creating together with them, led her on this journey to becoming an artist.

Her artwork is an experimentation incorporating reflective mediums and expressive textures creating primarily female–centered portraits, as well as bold and textured abstract art.

Shivani’s artworks have ranged from large-medium sized canvases for high-end residential spaces globally to luxury lodges in Kenya.

My Work

My art works began in an organic way; a way to express my creativity, a journey that began with soft water colours to bold abstract pieces today. Drawing influence from spirituality and nature, the aim is to empower the viewer.

Using gallant colours, spiritual symbols and strong facial expressions in my portraits I aim to invoke feelings of power and confidence, a small nudge to the viewer to dream bigger and become the greatest version of themselves. Each of my pieces evoke strong feminine energy, courage & growth.

Highlights & Achievements

Shivani was selected to create artwork for the children’s section at McMillan Memorial Library in Kenya, from a pool of candidates who applied for this prestigious opportunity. Proceeds from her workshops & artwork sales have gone towards numerous charitable causes supporting women & children in Kenya.

She has worked on numerous highend residential and commercial projects for clients in Kenya, Gibraltar, Mumbai, Toronto, London, Congo, New York, Chicago and Charleston.
