APS has a long history of predominantly male professional printmakers. She Impressions is an all-women show and is a second insert to She Impressions in 2017. This year, works by female artists from different backgrounds and experiences come together through printmaking. The artists participating on the show are jewellers, stylists, painters, sculptors, teachers and administrators who have brought in their specialties and created their impressions using the print medium in an exciting and vibrant way. Themes of identity, beauty, sexuality, vulnerability and memory are confronted through alternative and combination-technique prints that challenge notions of femininity and identity.
