The Vermont Veterans’ Home is fulfilling America’s promise to military veterans and their spouses At his second inauguration, President Lincoln made a vow that America would always “care for him who had borne the battle...and for his widow.”

Since 1884, the Vermont Veterans’ Home has been dedicated to keeping that promise.

Today, the changing needs of a new generation of Veterans combined with the increasing cost of healthcare and shrinking state budgets make that work more challenging. But you can help.

Friends of the Vermont Veterans’ Home The Friends of the VVH is a 501(c)3 charitable organization formed to support the mission of the Vermont Veterans’ Home by providing resources and funding for programs and services not covered by government budgets. These include: ◈◈ An activities fund for Veterans or spouses without means. ◈◈ A campaign to inform Vermonters about the benefits and services available to Veterans at the Home. ◈◈ A capital fund to insure the Home will continue to offer the most advanced medical technology and residential services, and also keep pace with the future needs of Vermont’s Veterans.
