ANNUAL SEASON TICKET LOAN
The company does not make loans to employees other than for annual season ticket purchases for travel. If you require an interest-free annual season ticket loan, please contact the Benefits team (GWS-UKI-Benefits@cbre.com) who will provide you with an application form.
EYE TESTS
We provide a free annual eye test whilst contributing towards glasses for regular VDU users. For further details please speak to the Benefits team GWS-UKI-Benefits@cbre.com.
LIFE ASSURANCE
We know this is not something you want to be thinking about, but it’s reassuring to know that as soon as you join the company, you will be entitled to life cover. PENSION
People in the UK are living longer than ever before. And as medicine continues to advance, we expect life expectancy to increase even further. This means that people are living in retirement for longer than before – in fact you could easily be retired for thirty years or more.
People now have higher expectations from retirement too. You may want to visit more of the world, to spend some money on your home, or to buy the car you have always dreamt of. At the back of your mind, you know you may need to spend a significant amount on care or medical costs too. All of it costs money. So it pays to work out how much you may need for your retirement right now and save for the future. We offer a Group Personal Plan which gives you the opportunity to plan for your retirement and save for your future, in which we will pay a percentage of your pensionable earnings into your retirement pot. In line with our auto enrolment obligations you will automatically be enrolled into the our group personal pension scheme three months following the start of your employment (referred to as the postponement period) as long as you meet the requirements of “Qualifying Earnings” and age as defined in your Terms and Conditions.
Depending upon your grade, you may be able entitled to a higher level of contribution from us compared to that available under auto-enrolment as long as you match this higher level – please refer to your terms and conditions.
If you leave us, you are able to keep your pension plan, including any contributions we have made. You continue to make contributions yourself, and you will get tax relief on these. The range of funds available to you and charges for these funds may be different. If you do leave us, our pension providers will write to you providing further information.
POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
GWS policies and procedures ensure transparency and smooth running of our business. These and other policy statement and procedures are accessible via the intranet. It is recommended that you make yourself familiar with the general content.
Employees responsible for the management of other employees must have an in-depth understanding of the content.
DISCIPLINARY
GWS believes that it will achieve its aim of being world class by employing exceptional people and by focussing on exceptional performance. We promote employee loyalty by having fair, consistent and transparent procedures to deal effectively with situations where formal disciplinary action is unavoidable. When this is the case the disciplinary procedure will be instigated with the underlying aim of improving any shortfall in performance or conduct.
The Company will consider whether matters can be dealt with on an informal basis, but where formal action is considered appropriate, this Policy/procedure will apply.
