Ericsson has been connecting the United States for nearly 120 years. As a trusted partner to all the major service providers and many regional carriers across the country, we are committed to supporting the market through our game-changing technology and services. The US is our largest market, and we have been strengthening our investments to be even closer to our customers and meet their accelerated 5G deployment plans. We have five live 5G networks in the US, and globally we power 77 commercial 5G live networks on five continents. [1]

Key investments in the US
We have made a $100M investment in our smart factory located in Lewisville, TX. This 300,000 squarefoot, state-of-the-art factory is assembling 5G radio base stations, putting our 5G equipment supply chain close to our US customers.
Our Austin application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) design and R&D center helps maintain our leadership position in 5G technology. ASICs and software developed in Austin will be instrumental in the global 5G mobile telecommunications infrastructure.
Ericsson D-Fifteen is our state-of-the-art innovation center in the heart of Silicon Valley. It brings multiple core capabilities together under one roof, combining the company’s collaborative spirit with leading technologies to provide a highpowered platform for building impactful and unique solutions, driven by co-creation and innovative partnerships.
Our five Centers of Excellence in the US have trained and certified 2,500 crew members since 2015. We are partnering with industry associations, US service providers and the Department of Labor to build a resource funnel for new tower workers—to accelerate US 5G deployment.
