I was born and raised in Belgrade, Serbia, where I live with my Italian husband and our three children, who inspire my work every day. I hold a Master’s degree and PhD in Applied Arts and Design, with a background in painting, graphic, and textile design. Growing up in an artistic family—my father a painter, my mother a ceramic artist, and my sister a production designer—creativity has always been part of my life. Over the years, I’ve explored many mediums, including illustration, calligraphy, graphic design, printmaking, photography, and sewing.
After becoming a mother, I searched for a creative practice that fit into home life and discovered sewing through my mother’s vintage machine. What began as a simple hobby quickly grew into designing my own patterns and garments, first for my daughter, and eventually into my pattern label, Like Flowers and Butterflies, founded in 2006.
Since designing for Art Gallery Fabrics, I’ve developed a deep passion for quilting. Creating quilt patterns that showcase my fabric collections allows me to combine illustration, color, and storytelling in a way that feels both inspiring and deeply rewarding.
