Kelli leads the design of the shared spaces within the community. From concept development to furniture selections, she carefully crafts each area to support a rich, inviting living experience for all members.
I became a designer because I understand the impact a quality space has on a person’s wellbeing. Creating functional, inspiring and aesthetically pleasing spaces that will be such a core part of our members lives is incredibly important to me.
Kacie Brown, Design Project Manager
Kacie directly works with members to design a home they’re proud to call their own, which becomes a welcoming space where they can create lasting memories in this new and exciting chapter of life.

Attend a Personalization Meeting
Work with our design team to build your dream residence. Choose your ideal finishes and personalize key elements to ensure your future home reflects your style and budget.

Finalize Selections
Collaborate with our design team to lock in your final residence designs and costs and memorialize your decisions with a signed agreement. We offer a wide variety of finishes, so if you don’t know where to start, our design team has selected some of their favorite palettes to give you inspiration.
You’ll have more flexibility in what you can change if you complete your personalization process before construction starts. This is a big advantage of buying in early.
Attend Exploration Tours
During the construction process, you’ll get a chance to see your home in progress with an Exploration Tour. Our team works collaboratively during the construction process to implement your personalization plans. Exploration Tours allow you to see the finishes in progress, take measurements and get excited about your personal touches.
Completion Assurance & Move-In
Our team completes quality reviews of the finished conditions in your home prior to move-in. Before you get your keys, you will do a final walk-through to ensure we’ve exceeded your expectations. You are now ready to call Artessa home.

Frequently Asked Questions
I’m
not local to the area. How much of this process needs to be completed in person?
We are happy to accommodate what works best for you, whether that be in person or virtual. If virtual, we strongly encourage you see the finishes in person prior to your design personalization meeting.
When
are personalization payments due?
Payments for all items identified on your approved Personalization Agreement will be coordinated with you and the design team. Depending on your Personalization Agreement approval date, the design team will outline the portion of down payment due and the approximate timing for full payment anticipated.
Can I buy a ceiling fan, as an example, and bring it to the construction site to have the builder install?
This cannot be done during construction. However, after move-in, you can install a ceiling fan of your choosing. Consult with your design team to ensure a ceiling fan rough-in is accounted for during your personalization meeting.
Can I change my window treatments?
Yes, after move-in, you can install window treatments of your choosing. If you know ahead of time you will not be using Artessa window treatments, you can request to not have them installed and receive a credit. Note that all window treatments visible from the building’s exterior must be of professional quality and neutral in color, with no pattern.
Can I choose different appliance brands if I don’t want what’s included?
Yes, different brands are available upon request. Additional costs may apply.
Can I move or change walls in my residence?
Yes, in certain cases. First-time charter members can move non-loadbearing or non-shear walls during the personalization process prior to the design deadline. Additional costs may apply.
Can I add custom built-ins or closet systems?
Yes, after move-in, you can add custom built-ins or closet systems. In certain floor plans, pre-identified built-in options can be added during the personalization phase. Consult with your design team for specifics.
Can
I add a backsplash after move-in?
Yes, you can add a backsplash of your choosing after move-in if you would like to go outside of our offerings. Consult with your design team regarding specifics.
Are there rollouts in the pantry?
Yes. When a floor plan features a full-height pantry cabinet, roll-out shelves are included.
Can I make design changes after signing my Personalization Agreement?
We kindly ask that once the agreement is signed, there are no additional changes. Products will already be ordered, and plans will have been submitted for implementation.
Can I add a gas or electric fireplace?
Yes, we have both gas and electric fireplace options. Talk to your design team for pricing details.
