We had some fun in the city with digital paints

The expanse of blue sky behind Burger King’s “$1.00 Taco is Back” sign left a lot of room for me to think how funny it would be to see a giant taco on the roof. My plans to catch the subway to a more touristy spot went in the trash and I started looking for more scenes we could re-paint. Kal, Boom, and Betty each painted two photos in this story, starting with this Transformer on First Avenue created by Boom, and then I added on bits. —MV

I asked Kal to decorate the billboard using inspiration from the Kawaii doodle book, and he knew he had to do sushi. I wanted a picture of pigeons so I could have them attacking toast, but the pigeons just weren’t that into it.
