I’m not a vampire, I swear. However, there’s’ a lot of weird information about them that I (jokingly) am deciding to be an “expert” on. :)

Hello! I am a vampire! Some people think a lot of wrong things about us, so I’m going to clear it all up for you! Nothing but the most accurate information from a real life vampire!
Some people like to think we don’t like the sun. Whether it reveals sparkly skin or turns us to dust, there’s a lot of weird misconceptions. We do like the sun as much as anyone else, but we have to put on sunblock to prevent any burns and it is very bright for us.

There’s a myth out there that we don’t like garlic. In fact, quite the opposite: we love garlic!! It makes blood extra runny so it doesn’t solidify as fast. If you’re ever in a vampire’s kitchen, you’re guaranteed to find garlic somewhere.

No, holy water and crosses don’t burn us. That was something that humans made up and we went along with to make them feel better about themselves. In fact, my aunt and cousins go to a church all the time! They even volunteer for it!

We can’t turn humans into vampires by biting them, that’s just weird. However, we can have human and vampire kids! That’s how my brother is a human and I’m a vampire!

Overall, there’s a lot of funny myths about us thanks to the years of bad press we got and rumors we thought we’d get to but didn’t debunk for a couple of centuries or so. Hopefully this helps you learn a bit more about us and maybe makes you want to talk to a vampire yourself!
