NUBRI MONKS AT LUMBINI
HCF Page 2
The young monks from the Nubri Hinang Monastery and their teachers have made the long trek from the mountains to the monastery in Lumbini. They will continue their studies with the assistance of 2 SMD grads and enjoy a reprieve from the harsh winter weather.
SENIORS After graduating Class 10, ‘Newbie Seniors’ (as they are fondly known) give a year of service, teaching and assisting in many ways at SMDBS, Tara Abbey, in their villages and other monasteries. The life experience gained is invaluable when they continue with their education.
SM With nancial assistance from many sources, SMD staff are providing warm winter clothing, shoes and food to the children and their families still in lockdown in the mountains. Village classes continue in person and online.
