Himalayan Children’s Fund News Dear Friends, Preparations are well under way at Namo Buddha for the Chakrasamvara Grand puja and ceremonial cremation of the Kudung of Thrangu Rinpoche. Around 1000 people are expected to attend and Khenpo Chonyi has shared some photos and videos of the work in progress. Elsewhere, the young monks at SMDBS are taking exams and the 4th annual Thrangu Guncho Chemo has just ended at VVI. Many thanks for your kind support. SMDBS Classes were suspended at the Branch School during the weeks of pujas for Thrangu Rinpoche so the young monks could participate. Now that school has been back in session for a while it is time for exams ~ written and oral as well as competition between the 3 houses - Marpa, Gampo and Sambotha. Hover for videos.

A gate pillar has been erected at the entrance to the Lama dance platform (the school roof) which is the site chosen for the construction of the cremation stupa, toilet facilities have been added, and paintings created for the ceremonies. Hover for videos.
VVI From October 1st through the 15th, Vajra Vidya Institute was busy with the 4th annual Thrangu Guncho Chenmo. Due to the pujas in Namo Buddha for Thrangu Rinpoche, only the rst year shedra students and young monks currently staying at VVI were able to participate. A small, but earnest group studied, practiced and debated wholeheartedly. Top honors were celebrated.
