NOVEMBER 2019 MARKS 30 YEARS OF HCF ACTIVITY ON BEHALF OF THRANGU RINPOCHE In the fall of 1989 Himalayan Children's Fund became active for the first time since Federal and State non-profit status was granted in 1987. We have grown step by step through the years along with all of Thrangu Rinpoche's many projects and programs, continually assisting in publicizing and funding. We celebrate you~ our many supporters ~ some of whom have been with us from the start! In recognition of our 30 years we have requested and been pledged a conditioned grant of $30,000.00 ~ $1,000.00 for each year of service ~ from the Benito and Frances C. Gaguine Foundation in Juneau, Alaska. Every donation made to HCF for this particular purpose will be matched dollar for dollar ~ up to $30,000.00.
WITH YOUR GENEROUS SUPPORT, WE CAN TURN $30,000.00 INTO $60,000.00 TOGETHER WE CAN PROVIDE URGENTLY NEEDED SUPPORT FOR SHREE MANGAL DVIP BOARDING SCHOOL IN NEPAL AMONG THE MANY NEEDS WE CAN FULFILL: * 80 new Mattresses * Drinking Water Filters for the Dorms and Dining Hall * New PA System for the assembly hall * Painting of B Block inside and out * Dance Program funding for 2 years * SMD Clinic Support * Senior Student Support * Funding for unsponsored students * Support for young monks attending SMD * Educational Field Trips * Staff Support
