News, News, News, News, News, News.. Cricket Sixes Memorial Match on Sunday 24th July at The Ivanhoe in Sprotbrough. This will be the fourth year we have held this event in memory of Neil. So far we have raised over £10,000 from this event alone. All funds raised will go to the Sheffield Hallamshire Hospital Teenage and Young Adult Unit. When Neil was admitted to hospital with Leukaemia in 2004, there was no Teenage and Young Adult Facility at the Hallamshire. In 2005 we began this event to raise funds for a brand new unit and thanks to the amazing support from Neil‘s friends, colleagues and everyone who turns up on the day to support us, the unit is now complete. Neil and his fellow patient Sam really championed the idea of a new unit and were the inspiration behind it, but both were unable to benefit from it, however, Neil would be proud of everyone who has been involved in this project to get the unit up and running. This project in ongoing as the unit relies on donations to keep the unit functioning. The Cricket Sixes event is always a fun day for the family, everyone enjoys it and everyone is welcome.
New Rector Appointed St Mary‘s new Rector, the Revd. Tony Sophianou arrived in Sprotbrough recently and was officially appointed at a service of Collation and Induction in St Mary‘s Church on 24th May 2011 by Bishop of Doncaster, Rt. Revd. Cyril Ashton. A large turnout ensured a very warm welcome for Tony and his wife, Pauline. We all look forward to Tony‘s ministry amongst us all here in Sprotbrough.

Skincare Make up Nails Skincare Make up Nails Hello, I cannot believe we are half way through the year with only six weeks left before the school Summer holidays are upon us – where has the time gone??? Thinking of holidays, I hope you all have a relaxing one booked in wonderful weather somewhere away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Alison It is reassuring to feel comfortable with our weight before we have to shed our clothes and expose ourselves around the pool! There is a way to achieve this with herbal slimming tablets. It is recommended that you eat three good meals a day and drink plenty of water to increase your metabolic rate, but the tablets curb your appetite and give you energy, encouraging more sensible food choices rather than unhealthy options because you are tired or stressed. One that we recommend at Perfect Harmony is Actislim. Actislim Ultra Max is a 100% natural food supplement designed to help you achieve your personal lifestyle goals much more quickly than other products currently on the market. Actislim Ultra Max is a Combination natural herbs, vitamins, minerals and plant extracts.

Sprotbrough FC play fascinating football
Spectators to the last game of the season in the Doncaster & District Sunday Alliance Football League were treated to a fascinating sight when one team donned a spectacular array of head gear! New team sponsor, Exquisite Boutique, managed to persuade Sprotbrough FC to wear the striking fascinators prior to the League Cup Final. ―I am really pleased to be able to support such a successful team that grows from strength to strength with each season,‖ commented Clare Dent owner of Exquisite Boutique. ―The team enjoyed wearing the fascinators. They really got into the spirit of what ultimately a fascinator is for, a fun and stylish accessory for any outfit!‖ Exquisite Boutique, based at Markham Grange Garden Centre, Brodsworth offers a bespoke fascinator service, handbags and jewellery, and is looking forward to the new football season when the team will be proudly displaying the company‘s logo. Local Photographer is Highly Commended for Children‘s Photography
Doncaster based photographer Vicki Cairns is celebrating being “Highly Commended” in the Annual Yorkshire Region Master Photographer Awards held on June 8th. We spoke to Vicki about scooping this great accolade. “I’m over the moon to be recognised for my children’s photography, especially for Children Under 5’s as this is what I do most of with Baby Club – in fact the winning image was from a Baby Club portrait session”. Baby Club, a scheme developed by Vicki for parents with new babies, encourages parents to bring their children for a photo shoot several times during their first year of life. Vicki explains, ―Many families wait until their children are over 12 months old before they come for their first family portrait, by that time they have missed so many important moments. Babies change at an amazing rate during the first year of life; my aim is to provide a record of this magical time that will be treasured by the family for many years‖. Vicki‘s Award Winning approach to photographing children is very relaxed. This results in some fantastic images, long gone are the days of babies sitting in flower pots at this studio.

What makes this service even more unique is that your family album can begin before your baby is born. As Vicki points out ―Pregnancy is a time of great natural beauty for a woman, and great pride for a father-tobe. Why should Maternity Portraits be exclusive to the likes of Demi Moore and Mylene Klass?‖ Every woman should be proud to be pregnant and an elegant record of the miracle of pregnancy is something they can display with pride. As one customer, Sally, commented ―I have always admired the iconic maternity pictures of Demi Moore and wanted to capture my bump in the same way. As many ladies know it‘s a hard time to feel glamorous and the thought of showing my bump to a total stranger was a bit daunting, however having my maternity shoot with Vicki I felt totally at ease. It is fantastic to have such a permanent reminder of how fabulous I looked during the last few months of my pregnancy‖. Vicki is a forward thinking photographer who is striding ahead in her approach to family portraiture. Whether you are pregnant, have a new baby or simply want a record of your growing family why not go along for a portrait session – you never know, your photo could be winning Awards for Vicki next year!

ip McGrath Education Centres have been helping children with Reading, Spelling, English and Maths for more than 30 years. There are now over 600 centres worldwide. The Doncaster centre opened in 2004 and provides support (by caring, experienced and fully qualified teachers) to children who are finding schoolwork difficult and to those who are preparing for entrance examinations, SATs and GCSEs. Sometimes the difficulty is because of a lack of understanding, with a child falling behind his or her peers – but sometimes a gifted child may be insufficiently stretched by work which is beneath their capabilities. Kip McGrath gives hope to children who just don‘t understand, who are bored and frustrated or who no longer try. We also provide invaluable support to children who experience problems for other reasons, for those who have moved schools, who have been ill or have otherwise missed vital schooling. Kip McGrath gives confidence to children who make up lost time and catch up with their peers. Our exclusive programs are designed to give students the motivation to succeed. Every child and every problem is different, so every learning plan is different. There are no ‗standard‘ timeframes and progress is at the students‘ own pace, so they are never overwhelmed and failure is minimised. Kip McGrath gives them guaranteed success. Children try harder when they attend Kip McGrath because achievement is there for them all, and this achievement is not only rewarding, it is fun. From the moment children walk into our centre there are clear messages given to them; this is a place where they can learn and this is a place where it is fun to learn. Kip McGrath gives them a second chance. Hope, confidence, success and a second chance. Don‘t all children deserve at least that much? Our centre is Ofsted registered which means parents may be able to reduce the cost of lessons by taking advantage of two Government schemes, 1 - Childcare element of Working Tax Credit – up to 70% of costs can be covered 2 – Childcare vouchers – provided under a salary sacrifice arrangement with employers
Help your child achieve their potential, call 01302 726969 now for a FREE educational assessment.

Of Sprotbrough
Richmond Hill Primary School Foundation Stage children supporting our Local Library Here at Richmond Hill Primary School we foster a love of reading with all our children and we were very excited to be invited to visit Sprotbrough Library. Friends of Sprotbrough Library kindly escorted our youngest children to the library on the short walk from school. The children thoroughly enjoyed the first hand experience as they were introduced to the roles and responsibilities of the librarian. The children are now keen to set up their own library within the setting and act out their new found knowledge through a role play situation. We would like to thank all the people involved in supporting our links with the local community.
