Branton Litter Pick
On Saturday 14th September, 13 volunteer's met at Kilham Hall to begin our 3rd litter pick of the year. Concentrating on the exit and entry points of the village, we collected over 16 bags of rubbish, which has been our best result so far. Our first litter pick collected over 55 bags of rubbish. This shows the more regular litter pick and the help of everyone else in the village, doing their bit day by day is having a big impact on keeping our village tidy. Thank you to everyone who came along and helped on the day, it was great to see some new faces too. We will plan another litter pick in Late November early December so watch this space for our next date. Everyone welcome to help, we provide all the equipment, all you need are good walking shoes/trainers and a pair of gloves. Oh, nearly forgot, don’t forget your Santa hat, there may be a mince pie in it for you too!
AUCKLEY WALKING NETBALL CLUB We now have a few spaces available at our Walking Netball Club. We play on Tuesday evenings, 6-7pm at Hayfield School, Auckley. £2.50. Ladies of any fitness /ability/age etc. welcome. Most of us hadn't played since leaving school , in some cases that's more than 35 years ago, so please don't worry about that! We just play each other so sessions are relaxed with no pressure, the emphasis being on having fun while getting fit. Most ladies are surprised and find it faster paced than they thought but it's still not as full on as running. Ladies ages range from 20 - 78! If interested please pm me or ring 07788 539820.

Doncaster Borough celebrates 80 years of the Citizens Advice service Citizens Advice was formed 80 years ago on 4th September 1939 to help families affected by the outbreak of the Second World War. To mark the anniversary, volunteers, staff and trustees held a sponsored cycle and walk at Lakeside Doncaster to raise awareness of the charity and its services. Mrs Karen Bothamley, CEO, said “The nationwide charity has seen many changes over the last 80 years, and we wanted to do something locally to celebrate the occasion. No one else advises as many people with as many different kinds of problems across the Doncaster Borough, which gives us a unique insight into the challenges people are facing today. Demand for our services grows year-on- • • • Wallpaper Hanging Specialist year - last year for instance we handled more • • • Emulsion & All Paintwork than £9.3 million of debt Est. 1988 • • • Clean & Tidy Work for our clients. Introducing the Vaults! Hirst Priory has a well-kept secret that is now ready to share. Hidden beneath the oldest part of the house is the most amazing atmospheric vaulted brick basement – “The Vaults”. Now expertly and sensitively refurbished, the subterranean rooms are open to visitors and offer a very special place for intimate and bespoke weddings and events. The Vaults ceremony room is perfect for smaller weddings and can accommodate up to 40 guests. In addition to wedding hire the venue is introducing a private members club, and offering exclusive pre-booked dining and wine bar experiences. A relaxed platter and small plates style menu has been developed working with “Taste Lincolnshire” to ensure the use of locally sourced ingredients where possible. Hazel Wheatley, Managing Director of Hirst Priory and The Vaults commented “We know we have something very special indeed at The Vaults – and I love seeing the reactions of our guests when they first discover these hidden spaces. I’m really looking forward to being able to share the experience with new visitors – cosy winter weddings, delicious sharing platters and personally selected gin and wine menus.” To find out more about The Vaults, take a look at www.hirstpriory.co
