Welcome to the November issue of the Ackworth Arrow

As the days grow shorter and the crispness of autumn gives way to the chill of winter, this time of year always reminds me of how fortunate we are to live in such a wonderful community. It's a season that brings us together and we can all look ahead to the events that make our villages so special.

November and December are months filled with tradition, festivity, and remembrance. Soon, our villages will be ablaze with red poppies, a poignant reminder of those who made the ultimate sacrifice in times of conflict. As we prepare for Remembrance Sunday and hold our moments of silence, we will remember them. It’s these acts of communal respect and gratitude that remind us of the shared values and history that bind us together.
