The MBJCC’s transportation is a safe and convenient way for children to attend our Enrichment, Aquatics, Sports and Gymnastics classes after school.

Students can drop in to Homework Club for a one hour time block either before or after their scheduled classes.

WATER BONDING: PARENT & CHILD LEVEL 1 3+ MONTHS (NO EXPERIENCE)

We will play games and sing songs so that your child can associate the pool with a fun experience with mommy or daddy. Our highly trained instructors provide you with the tools to make your babies strong swimmers and improve both physical and cognitive development. It takes 250 hours of water time for your child to become a strong swimmer, and most importantly, for you to have piece of mind in and around water.

TUMBLING MINNOWS 3 - 4’S SWIM GROUP

This exciting group enables children to swim independently from the parent. The swim instructor understands that children are just learning to take turns, share toys, and demonstrate skills in a fun loving environment filled with many “High Fives.”

Students are exposed to essential safety skills: jumping, diving, dog paddling, crawl, floating, swimming to the bottom, and swimming on their back.

This class will continues with accelerated skills that go along with a wide selection of games and songs. Through the progression and development , babies will learn to protect themselves from danger, and understand and respect the water. They will realize their limits and slowly reach aquatic independence.

This class is for the precocious and daring toddler that can play in the class without mommy or daddy.

This child has successfully gained enough strength and coordination to take a breath in the water. The child has advanced language skills and has been in our program at least 3 sessions.

The After-School Program at the MBJCC is a home-away-from home for your Pre-K through 5th grade student. The after-school program provides a safe, healthy, exciting and creative environment for children to unwind after a long day in school.

You can feel confident knowing your children are in good hands when they arrive at the MBJCC. They begin their afternoon with a healthy snack followed by supervised homework time.

Once done with their homework the students choose a daily rotating activity including: • Supervised Homework Help • Art Projects • Playground • Organized Sports • Swimming on Fridays • Cooking • Science • And More!

Transportation The MBJCC offers transportation from many local schools. It’s included in the After-school Program.

Special School Days Out are offered throughout the year in coordination with Miami-Dade County public school closings. School Days Out begin at 9 am and provide fun programming until 4 pm. Pre-care is available at 8 am and Post-care is available until 5 pm for an additional fee. Activities include swimming, arts & crafts, cooking, science, sports in the gym and on the field and much more.

Competitive Team

The MBJCC Gymnastics Team consists of Pre-Team and 5 competitive levels. Pre-Team is designed for those gymnasts that have the desire and motivation to work hard and show a potential for competitive gymnastics. Levels 1 - 5 follow the USA Gymnastics program Guidelines.

All children must try out to be part of the MBJCC Gymnastics Team. Children will be placed accordingly based on the Coaches’ discretion after tryouts. The competitive season runs September through May and therefore requires a full year commitment.

The MBJCC gymnastics program offers a wide variety of recreational and competitive gymnastics classes for children of all ages and abilities. Classes are held in our fully equipped gymnastics studio, and are taught by our award-winning Coaches Michele Rivera (Coach Mickey), Stacey Hatch, Domingo Torres (Coach Dom) and/or Andrea Nisenbon. All gymnasts will be tested and placed in the appropriate level.

Note for all gymnastics classes: Girls must wear leotards or tight-fitting clothing. (MBJCC Team Leotards/shorts available for purchase) Boys must wear a fitted T-shirt or tank, and shorts or sweat pants.

Leotards are REQUIRED for Competition Team.

Parents are not permitted to stay in the gymnastics studio during class.

This gymnastics class offers an age-appropriate introduction to gymnastics using creative expression and movement through the use of playful games and all of the gymnastics equipment with lots of parental hands-on assistance. As the children progress, they will begin to learn simple gymnastics routines and focus more on correct form.

We will play games and sing songs so that your child can associate the pool with a fun experience with mommy or daddy. Discover Catch is a child wellness program from JCCA that brings healthy habits to the youngest members of the community. The MBJCC is proud to offer a championship caliber Travel Basketball program. The season starts in September and runs until May. We offer 6 - 8 tournaments per season, along with scrimmage games against outside competition and plenty of practice time. Age groups range from 4th - 9th grade and a girls team starting at 6th grade. As the MBJCC continues to grow our travel program, we will continue to offer multiple age groups in the future.

The MBJCC Hornets are led by Coach Joe Campodonico and Coach Jarred Axon. Coach Joe has been coaching basketball for over 20 years and has won multiple titles at every age level. Coach Jarred is a former division 1 college basketball player at Eastern Michigan and Former D League Player. Together they have built a foundation that has helped the MBJCC Hornets win multiple championships.
