A LYS S A RO S ATO N E DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
My design philosophy is rooted in the belief that an inter ior should be a thoughtful balance of beauty and pur pose. Str iving to create spaces that resonate with individuals on a deeper, more emotional level while honor ing the environment they inhabit. Each project begins with a commitment to authenticity, designing spaces that are not only visually compelling, but meaningful, per sonal, and grounded in human exper ience. Individualism is at the core of my approach, believing every space should reflect the identity and values of the people who inhabit it. Drawn to natural palettes and ear th-der ived mater ials as essential tools for cultivating calm, war mth, and connection. Through texture, light, and organic elements, aiming to blur the boundary between indoor s and outdoor s, foster ing environments that feel restorative and grounded in nature. Sustainability is not an add-on to my practice; it is its foundation. Pr ior itizing eco-conscious mater ials, responsible sourcing, and long-lasting design solutions that respect both people and planet. Through sustainable choices, my goal is to create spaces that enhance per sonal well-being while also contr ibuting positively to the world. Ultimately, my work seeks to unite environmental responsibility, individual expression, and authentic beauty into spaces, creating an atmosphere that feels intentional and human-centered.

COREHEALTH
OFFICE DESIGN COMPLETED O C T. 2 0 2 5 -Partner Project-
This project, located in Raleigh, North Carolina, centered on understanding the client’s needs, core values, and beliefs. Choosing CoreHealth as the client opened the opportunity to explore the intersection of wellness and technology within the workplace. The design vision aimed to create an office that actively embodies wellness by integrating specialized spaces where employees can personally experience the benefits—physically through a dedicated gym, socially through a large café and flexible open seating, and mentally through quiet retreat areas for focused thinking and rest. The goal was to craft an office that serves as a living example of how design can shape well-being, offering employees a place where they do not simply work, but truly thrive. Overall, the design reflects CoreHealth’s values and their commitment to supporting each individual’s personal wellness journey.

HEALTHCARE DESIGN COMPLETED
DEC. 2025
This project, located in rural Northwestern Montana, explores the future of healthcare design through a primary care clinic deeply informed by the region’s Indigenous cultures and surrounding landscapes. The concept is rooted in the belief that human wellness is inseparable from environmental and cultural well-being, and that healthcare spaces should reflect the communities they serve. Responding to the realities of rural healthcare—long travel distances, limited access to medical services, and strict regulatory requirements—the clinic is designed to support a wide range of programs for patients of all ages. The project also challenges the traditional stereotype of clinical intimidating healthcare environments by creating warm, inviting spaces that prioritize dignity, comfort, and connection. Grounded in human experience, this design listens to both the land and the people. Through inclusivity, adaptability, and respect for cultural heritage, the clinic aims to foster healing and support cultural revitalization, transforming the facility into a sanctuary of renewal for the community.

TRAIN DEPOT
R E S TO R AT I O N COMPLETED
DEC. 2024
This project centered on the restoration of the historic Kent Train Depot in downtown Kent, Ohio. Once an active railroad station for 95 years, the building later faced the risk of demolition. The redesign sought to preserve its heritage while reimagining the depot as a fully functioning passenger station once again. The design prioritizes sustainability through the use of recyclable materials and natural elements, including wood and lush greenery. A calming, nature-inspired color palette—something uncommon in Kent—helps blur the boundary between interior and exterior, creating a cohesive sensory experience. By fostering warmth, comfort, and ease, the restored depot aims to counter the stress and anxiety often associated with travel, offering both travelers and community members a welcoming place to pause, relax, and enjoy their time within the space.
