What is the History of your Company? We started Details by Haleh with the goal of being one of the most elegant and creative wedding planning and design companies in North America. My twelve years of experience starting as a National Makeup Artist for both Armani and Chanel as well as my Event Coordination Role at Dior has provided me the background to fully understand my brides’ personal needs and provide a vision for their dream wedding. It is then up to me and my team to make sure that dream becomes a reality. For this reason, I hand select coordinators and assistants who have wedding industry and design experience to ensure the utmost quality. Our dedicated team is what separates Details by Haleh from other traditional design companies and one of the main reasons we have been so successful over the past couple of years. Whether it be full planning, day-of coordinating, sofreh design and setup or makeup, we work tirelessly to fulfill our original goals! What made you personally want to go into the wedding business? For most brides, their wedding planning started a long time ago when they were a child with a collection of beautiful visions and joyful dreams which ultimately culminated into one special day. From an early age, a bride plays dress up and pretends that she is the princess at the alter, standing next to her groom with all their friends and families in attendance at their beautiful ceremony. Do you work with all budgets, or do you specialize in high-end events? We definitely work with all budgets but our first priority is to create an exceptional experience for our clients and their guests. Through our planning and budgeting, we choose the vendors that match with each wedding budget. What is your personal design aesthetic? Elegant and timeless is our signature style What are some of the big trends in wedding orals right now? Having a touch of greens in flower arrangements, hanging crystals and hanging chandelier, mirror tables and chrome chairs are being very trendy. Could you describe what services you provide ? Details By Haleh provides all different levels of service including shaping or refining design, day-of wedding event management and producing and planning entire events. What was one of your most memorable weddings/designs, and what made it special? We have been lucky to be able to plan some very high profile international weddings. One of our most memorable designs took place at a wedding in Vancouver, Canada where we took a typical floor plan and completely re-designed it with a round dance floor and custom made chandeliers which were placed in the middle of each side of the ballroom. What makes you stand out from your competitors? We truly care about an exceptional guest experience while maintaining a positive and sophisticated approach. We handle each event with the utmost priority and care to the point that each client feels like she is our only client. What’s your advice for brides on a budget? Just enjoy planning your big day and focus on creating a memorable experience for yourself and your guests. What are your future plans? To continue to grow Details by Haleh so we have a team of professional planners in each US state and Canadian province.

Let’s dive a little deeper into your background as we know that played a huge role in the curation of Desert35 Fragrances. Can you let us a little more about where you came from and how it led to where you are now? Traveling from Brooklyn to Tehran to California and now back to my hometown of New York City, I have had the opportunity to perfect some of the best occupations that I hold near and dear to my heart; Reporter, Anchor, Author, Lehman Brothers Communication Director. Before parting ways to create Desert35 Fragrances, I worked with Martha Stewart. I am proudly the CEO/ Founder of Desert35 Fragrances creating not only a line for customizing your signature scent along with scents for weddings and special occasions but also two distinct lines of fragrances inspired by emotions from my memoir. My memoir called, Shaming My Red Lips, takes you on a ride with me through all the emotions I felt through the troubling times leading up to my success and where I am now. What is Desert35 and how did you get into the wedding industry? Desert35 Fragrances is a luxury perfume and cologne company, based in New York City, creating scents for weddings, bridal showers, anniversaries, bar mitzvahs and all special occasions; along with custom fragrances for individuals. Fragrances are the ultimate expression of you. At Desert35, we collaborate with you to create that expression through your own signature fragrance. Our specialists utilize your personality and mood, along with over 50 different fragrance notes, to create a one-of-a-kind perfume or cologne. Alongside our master perfumers we are the intersection of fashion, high end scent design blended with natural oils.

I grew up in Brooklyn, NY and was a reporter for many years before diving into the world of fragrances. Upon returning to my hometown of New York City I had been to so many weddings (either as a bridesmaid or guest) and various occasions that I wanted to create a product to seal the memory of the special day and show how much everyone involved in the process is appreciated.


Your finalized fragrance comes in a luxury labeled box filled in a high-quality personalized designer bottle which can be custom engraved or monogrammed. It is the perfect addition to any event to help remember that specific day! It all began with the initial idea after I was a bridesmaid at at so many weddings and was constantly being asked what should be gifted to the bridal party. One day, it came to me that why doesn’t my fragrance company create the scent specifically for my friend’s wedding. Many don’t realize but it gives you an opportunity to relive that day by taking you down memory lane everytime you spray or wear it. Desert35 has the ability to recreate that same formula as it will always be saved in our database. It’s really an extension of the couple’s creativity, popped in a bottle and wrapped up nicely in a luxurious box. Every event attendee is always wanting to give the couple something special and unique and this is the perfect option to do just that! What is the process? We begin with the personality quiz. Then, we determine we determine the mood that you are trying to convey we send it to the lab. We produce four unique samples and let you pick your preferred scent. And then we head into production which normally takes 2-2 1/2 months. After production, we fill them in luxury bottles. To add a personal touch, we engrave the newlywed’s names, newborn baby, anniversary dates, or individual customer names, as well as their special celebration dates. They are then put in luxury boxes and send it off!

Why is scent so unique? Let me start off by saying our perfume is as unique as a fingerprint. I truly believe that perfume is your personal scented slogan and a reflector of your heart. Our nose is just a funnel, and the sense of smell is really a complex system, parts of which sit right next to where our memories and emotions are stored in the brain. More than that, unlike our senses of sight, sound and touch, our sense of smell does not pass through the analytical, more highly-developed part of our brain first – it bypasses the frontal cortex and heads straight to the earliest, most primitive part of our brain. You get an emotional, ‘gut reaction’ first before the smell is processed consciously. So, while our other senses are just as capable of producing strong associations and triggering memories, smell really is unique. It’s a form of emotional alchemy! Tell us a little about the line how it all connects with your memoir? My memoir is story of how a teenager, originally from Brooklyn, views Iran from a completely westernized standpoint. It’s to show the importance of remaining true to yourself and fighting for what you believe in. I share my true story and all its hardships, setbacks, intimacies, and victories because in the end, they led me to security, hope and finally self-discovery. We then connected that to my fragrances because my company, Desert35, is about self expression and being your true authentic self always- only in fragrance format. All 3 lines are some kind of self expression whether you are creating the scent from scratch or using The Poppy Collection: power of authenticity line or Unrestricted Eau De Parfums.

How do wedding planners get in touch with you if they want this for their clients? We have an affiliate program in place and work with wedding planners across the country. Our team is great and will walk them through our program. Our affiliates love us because we are a unique take on gift-giving.

What is the history of your company?

Chocolato was founded 2008 in Los Angeles, CA and later moved to Glendale, CA in 2012. Chocolato is a chocolatier and florist with many floral designers in house. Our chocolates are imported from Europe focusing on Belgium and Swiss chocolates. Our specialties are events and special occasions with a large profile of weddings of all sizes. What is your personal design aesthetic?

Our design aesthetic at Chocolato is royal, we thrive to make each event as luxurious and lavish as possible. When we think of a Royal wedding we think of Prince William and Kate or Prince Harry and Meghan but at Chocolato when our team thinks of a Royal wedding we also think of our brides and grooms. Could you describe what services you provide?

Our goal is to make the event seamlessly and beautiful for our customers. We provide floral arrangements and centerpieces, chocolates and chocolate favors, cakes, decorative event items, chandeliers, drappings and rentals furnitures, sweet tables and dance floors and dance floor decals. Here at Chocolato we want to make the process of your events easier by having less vendors. With our team on board we are able to provide all aspects of your event seamlessly. Each team member takes care of their task for each event. What was one of your most memorable weddings/designs, and what made it special?

As head designer at Chocolato, my most memorable wedding was my daughters. In 2017 my youngest got married and I had the privilege to help design and decorate her wedding. The look on her face when she saw all her visions in real life made it worth the while. Being able to be apart of her special day on more then one aspect was truly amazing. What makes you stand out from your competitors?

What makes Chocolato stand out for our competitors is how we give each and every customer our undivided attention. Our goal is to create the vision our customers have, to give them their dream wedding.


What is your advice for brides on a budget?

Our advice for brides on a budget is to let us help them, we have had numerous brides on budgets and still provided a lavish event. A budget shouldn't stop a bride from having a beautiful set up at their wedding, we have many substitute flowers and decorative items that look beautiful. The hardest part for some of our brides it not being able to picture what their venue will look like but we ask all brides to let our designers help them see the outcome and have always satisfied. Every flower and decoration is beautiful when designed correctly, and with 10 plus years of experience we are sure to make your day magical.

What is the history of your company?

Although Samira Weddings and events started operating in Southern California over 12 years ago, this work has been a long family tradition for decades; progressively bringing innovation and quality to this industry, we have combined traditional methods, ideas and evolved them into modern day event décor and planning with uniqueness each time around. Do you work with all budgets, or do you specialize in high-end events?

Our main objective is to make every event memorable for both attendees and the hosts. Therefore, regardless of budget, we deliver highest quality and a unique made to order setting for each client. What is your personal design aesthetic?

An artist at heart, I am always inspired by traditional and classical objects. While preserving the spirit for client’s stand, I look for ways to introduce the new generation utilizing material and settings that make them modern and unique. The traditional tea-station has been around for decades and it always contained almost the same setting each time. Our signature modern tea-station includes over 20 flavors served in clear glass teapots and is so unique it is referred to as the Samira tea station in social media. Could you describe what services you provide, in addition to just creating the Sofreh?

We are known as the main point of contact for all services related to event planning from A to Z including but not limited to; modern or traditional Sofreh Aghd, custom design creative home style food catering, artful desserts, fruit carvings, tea, coffee and signature traditional beverage stations, invitations, floral, party rentals, entertainment and valet services. What was one of your most memorable weddings/designs, and what made it special?

When I reflect and look back at all the events we have been privileged to bring to completion, each one of them has been memorable for me. We pride ourselves in each event being just as memorable as the previous ones and our Yelp, Instagram and Facebook pages are a testament to this fact.

I am known for my great attention to the details and quality control of our services. Every event must pass my precise inspection before being cleared for client viewing. Our loyal clients are always approached by the competition for new business; however, once they have experienced our services they continue to trust their most memorable events to us only. We always exceed all expectations on value for price of services provided. What is your advice for brides on a budget?

Although budget plays a major role when most of brides and grooms start planning for their special events, it does not mean that you cannot have a memorable wedding on a small budget. We pride ourselves in delivering the most memorable experience for every budget by stretching each dollar and saving the soon to be wed as much as possible from wasting it. Together we discuss what helps them set priority on their requirements while assisting them in negotiating the best value for price with third party vendors.

What are your future plans?

Our goal is to be the best in this industry in Southern California by constantly bringing to life innovated new ideas and raising the bar for the standards of this industry. As we continue to develop our staff and expand.

Planning and coordinating all types of events such as multicultural and American weddings, LGBT weddings, Social events, birthdays, cocktail parties, corporate events, fundraisers and more. What was one of your most memorable weddings/designs, and what made it special?

The Plaza Hotel in NYC where we created a floating stage and a mirrored walkway with tall crystal candleabras and hundred of hanging floral pieces for the bride and groom for their ceremony. It was jawdropping how beautiful it was. It was something the hosts and guests had never seen before. What makes you stand out from your competitors?

What’s the history of your company? We custom design paper Flower Walls. My company was formerly established in 2015. What made you personally want to go into the oral design business? I always enjoyed being Creative. My Parents Saw how much I love Art and enlisted me in various Art Classes when I was young. Coming to US in Young age, I had to change direction to fulfill my responsibilities and it was 6 years ago when I decided I want to start pursuing my passion in Art. Do you work with all budgets, or do you specialize in high-end events?

We mostly specialize in high- End events.

What’s your personal design aesthetic?

What are some of your favorite owers and arrangement ideas?

My favorite Backdrops are the once with lots of Jewels. The more detail a backdrop has the more attention it gets. I love using Jewels and different Materials into my Backdrops. What are some of the big trends in wedding orals right now?

It’s all about Social Media these days and everyone love to take photos, and Backdrops are one of the trendiest item to have in every wedding. Could you describe what services you provide, in addition to just creating the arrangements?

As of right now we only Provide Flower Backdrops, however we are thinking about coming up with other services in the near future like providing lighting, Matching Carpet runners, signs, and so much more for the backdrops that we offer. What was one of your most memorable weddings/designs, and what made it special?

My most Memorable Wedding design was for this sweet couple. The Bride came to me with so much excitement and wanted me to create a backdrop for their sweet heart table. The look on her face when she saw what I had created for them was priceless. Both her and her fiancé were so happy with the backdrop that they send me a gift and thank you card and recommended me to all their friends and family for their upcoming events. What makes you stand out from your competitors?

We create customized flower wall backdrops, ranging as large as 12 ft height by 32+ ft width. We currently have more than 4000 SF workspace and showroom where clients can come and see the Flower Walls. I would say that my work is distinguished for its high level of detail and uniqueness of flowers. With my background in different forms of artwork, I like to incorporate various mediums and materials into the paper to create visual and lighting effects from various angles. I also like to use different physical tools for creating specific shapes, dimensions, and depths within the paper. What’s your oral advice for brides on a budget?

Unfortunately, I know everyone is on a budget and Backdrops is one thing that is a luxury and not a necessity Item to have in a wedding. My suggestion is to plan a wedding more in advance and save enough to have it all. What are your future plans?

My Future Plan is to expand my Creativity to another level, Sky is the limit. I also love to provide our services to other states which we are working on.

Our personal design aesthetic is creating a reflection of our clients’ personalities & style. Personally, I love a touch of modern with lush colors and textures. Could you describe what services you provide, in addition to just creating the venue?

Tala Events is a full service planning & design company. We work on merging our creative visions with yours to plan your event from beginning to end. We manage your budget and keep you on track for planning in a timely manner. In addition, we provide creative design ideas and entertainment options. Finally, our team provides coordination the day of your event including styling your venue, managing vendors and maintaining your timeline schedule. What are some of your favorite ideas for events?

I love events with a twist on the everyday such as traditional Persian elements with a blend of modern accents to reflect a newer generations style. What was one of your most memorable weddings/designs and what made it special?

One of my favorite weddings was one of our first. I worked closely with our couple to provide a design that truly reflected their individual styles. Getting to know this couple more personally was most enjoyable and to see how happy they were on their big day was a highlight of my career. What makes you stand out from your competitors?

What is the history of your company?

Since I was a child I enjoyed design, decoration and food preparation. I started this work as a hobby and little by little per fiends and family request it evolved to a business. I have been doing this professionally for over ten years. Do you work with all budgets, or do you specialize in high-end events?

It all depends on clients needs. We have set prices for verity of different designs and events. At the same time it’s always important to cater to need to clients and stay within their budget. Most important issue for me is to deliver an unforgettable event so I don’t tend to cut corners and settle for lesser quality just because of low budget. If a clients wants this unforgettable experience in design then we need to be realistic on our budget. What is your personal design aesthetic?

I go for perfection. My preferred design in Rustic - Elegant. I get most of my inspiration from old Italian and French designs. Elegant Tuscany style is both calming, warm and welcoming. 56 i Spring / Summer 2018 • Aroos Magazine • aroosmagazine.com


Could you describe what services you provide, in addition to just creating the Sofreh?

From consulting with clients on best designs for their events to assist them with picking the best of the best in event rentals, specialty decoration like flower arrangements, backdrops, etc. to arranging for specialty food catering and serving services we can assist our clients to impress their guess with unique experience on their events. What was one of your most memorable weddings/designs, and what made it special?

Recently I assisted one of my favorite clients with Bridal shower and tea party at a privet residence. The brunch table and cake table and flower backdrop turned out beyond expectations.

What makes you stand out from your competitors?

I believe attention to detail on design is one of my strong point.Every part of a design should tell a story witch I try to bring out by use of unique decorative pieces that I have collected from around the world.In one word I am a perfectionist, I don’t settle for anything less. What is your advice for brides on a budget?

Please be realistic, plan ahead, have a good idea on what you want so you can relay that to your designer at your first meeting. Uncertainly can increase the cost tromenoacly.

What are your future plans?

In addition to expand our design options I am planning to start a new food and design video series which will feature preparation of food and table in less than 20 minutes.
