Stargazing Exhibit
Universidad de Navarra - 2nd year project
Location: Theoretical Descripton: This project consists of a theoretical exterior exhibit that could serve as a space for stargazing. The idea of the intervention is not only to gaze up at the stars, but to bring the stars down to the viewer. The intervention plays with the spectators view through the use of optical illusions. By introducing an artifi cial hill made out of mirrors whose height is always above the user’s line of horizon, the intervention creates a new “false horizon” that refl ects the stars from above making the intervention seem like it’s among said stars. This eff ect, along with the central concrete pathway, creates the eff ect of a stairway reaching towards the stars.
