About the Series

In the Nature Playtime series, Emma and her grandmother, Popo, are best friends. Back in Popo’s day, children played with whatever they could nd around them, such as seeds, owers and leaves of plants. As Popo relives the old ways of play, new worlds are opened for Emma and love is passed on from generation to generation.

About the Author

Sophia Huang is a copyeditor by trade and a mother of two children. She began her career in journalism at the Today paper, where she has worked as a sub-editor and foreign desk copy taster. This series is her rst foray into writing for a young audience. Sophia believes that children should go outdoors as much as possible and learning is best done through play. She is passionate about upcycling trash into creative toys and art for children.
