Taking A Look at Mediacoach
MEDIACOACH IS ESSENTIALLY A VIDEO MOTION ANALYSIS TOOL DEVELOPED BY A SPANISH MEDIA COMPANY NAMED MEDIAPRO FOR THE 42 PROFESSIONAL SOCCER CLUBS THAT MAKE UP THE NATIONAL LEAGUE OF PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL, MOST COMMONLY KNOWN AS LA LIGA.
This platform allows analysts and coaches to revise aspects such as characteristics of the opponent’s style of play, effectiveness and efficiency when attacking and defending, individual statistics of the players, fitness levels and many others!

The platform also allows access to details such as the forward who needs the fewest shots to score, the defender who blocks the most shots, the player who recovers possession the most, the wingers with the fastest recorded sprints, or the player with the greatest crossing accuracy
The software relies on 16 perimeter cameras installed in every stadium in La Liga, and it could be described as a “real-time match data analytics and visualization platform.” Each system costs 400,000 euros to install.

WHEN THE MATCH GETS UNDERWAY, THE TEAMS CONTINUE TO USE MEDIACOACH: THE TECHNICAL STAFF OF BOTH CLUBS HAVE ACCESS TO MEDIACOACH LIVE AND MEDIACOACH MOBILE, WHICH ARE TWO APPLICATIONS FOR TABLET AND SMARTPHONE THAT ALLOW THEM TO MONITOR ALL INDIVIDUAL AND COLLECTIVE PERFORMANCE METRICS AS THE MATCH IS HAPPENING.
“The data is put at the service of the coach as if it were a Formula 1 control centre, using data dashboards created by the clubs The coach will then review their chosen parameters, which may include player speed, heat maps of the opponents in possession and out of possession, the number of passes under pressure, success in aerial duels and much more ”
The platform also allows physical trainers to be on top of possible injuries and therefore recommend substitutions, given that when a player reaches a predefined value an alert is triggered: “for example, in the 72nd minute of the match Mediacoach Live may alert the physio that a specific player has exceeded his average distance covered at high intensity. This is immediately shared with the coach who may wish to make a substitution at this point.”

After the match, both teams receive post-match reports with 56 pages containing graphs, rankings and statistics based on the game that just transpired.
