ST. ELIZABETH CANCER CENTER

HGA worked together with St. Elizabeth to design a 250,000 sqft cancer center that provides centralized care all under one roof. The center offers a multidisciplinary approach to care, from cancer detection and diagnosis to care and treatment, for patients’ advanced and personalized experience. HGA designed a welcoming vestibule to the cancer center with a large open atrium including towering windows that draw in natural light to unite the nature outside. The timber materials on the walls and ceiling add warmth to the space. The sweeping curves revealing an enchanting opening of illumination from above were achieved by HGA’s specification of their preferred Vapor® Cumula with backlighting to reinforce the natural brightness and add another essential component to this space’s inspiration and a sense of calm.

TIMBERLAND

IA INTERIOR ARCHITECTS STRATHAM, NEW HAMPSHIRE, USA

TIMBERLAND

Iconic outdoor lifestyle brand Timberland transformed its 20,000 sqft headquarters into a collaborative, energetic, and progressive environment that exemplifies the culture of Timberland with the help of IA Interior Architects. Bringing the outside in was a main focus for the space, reinforcing Timberland’s belief that a greener future is a better future and their commitment to create better product, stronger communities, and a greener world. To accomplish this, the architectural language employed throughout the space takes cues from Timberland’s new retail design and uses reflective materials, organic forms, and textured layers to bring nature indoors. The overarching concept informed the layout of the space with a winding “trail” that leads through the office, passing groves of activity along the way. Oversized community tables are nestled in a grove of trees, communicating Timberland’s eco-leadership through materials, commitment to plant 50 million trees by 2025, and manifestations of future thinking relative to product and designs. Delta Drop® 4x4 adds faceted depth to the space while integrating lighting with Arktura’s backlight, creating a sparkling effect. The new design reflects Timberland’s passion for nature and vision for the future. It provides a creative, collaborative, energetic space filled with light, nature-inspired design, and living elements - truly bringing the brand’s values to life.

VEEVA

Brereton Architects worked with Veeva, a cloud computing company that finds solutions for life sciences software technology, including cloud software, to design their European headquarters in Barcelona, Spain. The importance of the project was to create a space that works as the “Heart of Veeva Europe” and highlights a more grownup tech aesthetic while still encouraging a fun, inviting, and appealing environment. The vivid colors, graphics, and ceiling treatment from Arktura’s Vapor® Trail were curated to promote visual stimulation and establish a European HQ brand identity to create a dynamic and welcoming atmosphere for employees and guests alike.

Veeva wanted a location to really make a statement. Arktura proposed several design concepts for the lobby. The one comment that we kept hearing from Veeva was, “More Energy!” It was upon viewing the Arktura Vapor® Trail ceiling design proposal, and their intent was met!” - ARKTURA PROJECT MANAGER

GENSLER DENVER, COLORADO, USA

WESTERN UNION

Gensler designed Western Union’s new headquarters at the Denver Technological Center, which was a 250,000 sqft campus on eight of the sixteen floors of the building. In order to encourage community across the 1,300 employees between the eight floors, Gensler gave each level a unique geographical identity, inspired by the regions where Western Union has a meaningful presence in. Among the inspirations are souks from the Middle East, a Singaporean nightmarket, and a North American coffee bar. The different visual identities motivate employees to explore their campus and interact with their coworkers. A presentation area with configurable seating also features stadium seating that leads up to the executive level. NORTHERN LIGHTS

PDR HOUSTON, TEXAS, USA

NORTHERN LIGHTS Our Solutions Studio® team calculated the exact hanging points for each metal strand to ensure the entire feature hung on a level plane. In addition to engineering the look of each section, every light was individually programmed to follow musical cues and change in coordination with holidays and themes and to reflect the company’s brand colors. Because of the weight of the piece, Arktura coordinated with the structural engineering team to ensure proper reinforcements were incorporated into the building. Arktura also worked closely with Philips Lighting to ensure each light was programmed to be aware of the color chances of the other rods in its proximity to truly give it the floating effect of the Northern Lights.

Built for a Confidential Financial Company, the lighting feature has over 1,400 hanging points with unique rod lengths supporting 496 LED lights and 960 credit cards. The feature’s credit card-sized LED lights were engineered with seamless acrylic box enclosures, to disperse light evenly, creating a consistent glow. MONTALBA ARCHITECTS LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, USA

LAX TERMINAL 6

Montalba Architects & Corgan Associates requested that Arktura’s Solutions Studio® capture the bustling vibrancy of L.A.’s iconic Sunset Boulevard in a lighting system, as part of LAX’s T-6’s “swanky” $70.5-million makeover. The illumination drives the terminal’s experience and is organized by interconnected pathways that lead passengers on their journey. Arktura proposed, designed, and directed a simple install of the terminal’s innovative lighting system consisting of a winding steel structure and a powder-coated stainless steel mesh diffuser masking the LED illumination.
