Prior to the start of the opening session you will be able to pick up your free t-shirt, Welcome Week schedule, resource pad-folio, and other essentials.

In this session, you’ll: Be welcomed to campus by ATU administrators Meet the various university staff members who will be leading you through Transfer Student Orientation Begin learning our campus traditions Learn about your schedule for the next two days ## 2:45 – 3:30pm `` Session 1: Campus Resources ]] Assigned Classroom (location noted on nametag) Getting connected to all the resources available at ATU is essential for a successful start!

In this session, you’ll: Learn the essentials about the Health & Wellness Center, Public Safety, Tech Fit, Ross Pendergraft Library, Tutoring Center, & much more Review and discuss all material in your resource pad-folio Receive the do’s and don’ts for on campus dining and info on meal plans

## 3:30 – 4:30pm `` Session 2: Student Involvement ]] Assigned Classroom There’s so much to do on campus and our staff will show you how the numerous involvement opportunities can help you maximize your experiences at ATU.

In this session, you’ll: Discover campus and community involvement opportunities and their importance Get the details about the Involvement Fair Discuss evening dining options Review Tuesday’s schedule ## 4:30pm `` Break ## 5:00 – 6:00pm `` Dinner (free meal ticket provided) ]] Chambers Cafeteria

## 6:00 – 8:00pm `` Involvement Fair ]] Hindsman Quad As one of the largest annual campus events, the Involvement Fair gives students the opportunity to learn about clubs and organizations, departments and services, and community organizations. Get your passport, visit all the booths, and load up on free food and give-a-ways. Don’t forget to turn in your passport for a chance to win over $2,500 in prizes.

## 9:30 – 11:30pm `` Outdoor Movie ]] Crabaugh Lawn Grab your friends, roommates, and other members of your orientation group and head over to enjoy a summer blockbuster under the stars.

Drinks and popcorn are provided, so bring a blanket and enjoy the show.

Tuesday, August 22 ## 9:00 – 9:45am `` Session 3: Technology Review ]] Assigned Classroom (location noted on nametag) You need to have a firm understanding of how to use ATU-specific technology before your first class.

In this session, you’ll: Get a refresher on OneTech, Blackboard, and Tech email… just in time for your first class ## 9:45 – 11:00am `` Session 4: Academic College Meetings ]] Various Campus Locations (location noted on nametag) Led by the Dean of your college, this is your opportunity to learn about your specific area of study and meet departmental faculty members.

If you are undeclared, don’t worry - we have a meeting for you, too!

In this session, you’ll: Meet faculty and department heads Learn about academic expectations Find out about major specific clubs and organizations Get success tips Learn how to best contact faculty Get the latest career information for your field of study ## 11:00am – 12:00pm `` Session 5: Policies & Handbook Review ]] Assigned Classroom As a member of the ATU community, it is important you understand what is expected of you as a student.

In this session, you’ll: Review the Student Handbook Receive important information about campus educational initiatives including sexual assault, hazing, and alcohol/drug abuse prevention Ask any last minute questions Complete evaluation

## 1:30 – 2:30pm `` Optional Breakout Sessions

1. Student Accounts-Brown Hall 241 Have questions about your student account? Come by and get all your questions answered before classes start tomorrow.

2. Financial Aid-Brown Hall 206 Stop by to check your Financial Aid status and ask any last minute questions to the Financial Aid staff. ## 2:30 – 5:00 pm `` Student Employment Fair ]] Young Ballroom This event is designed for new and current students who are seeking part-time, on-campus employment. You will have the chance to meet representatives from different on-campus departments and learn about employment opportunities across campus. Remember to bring your Tech ID.

## 5:00 – 6:00pm `` Dinner, Pep Rally, & Football Scrimmage ]] Thone Stadium at Buerkle Field Come out for a stadium style dinner and catch the spirit! Join the spirit squads, students, faculty, staff, and athletic department as we kick off the year with some enthusiasm. You’ll begin learning cheers, chants, and traditions that will make you a true Wonder Boy and Golden Sun. Don’t miss the fun, prizes, and give-a-ways and stick around for some great ATU football!
