Customer Relationship Manager First Financial Bank, El Dorado, AR
WHEN AND WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO BECOME A BANKER?
I never really thought about becoming a banker but knew I wanted to pursue my passion of marketing which lead me to First Financial Bank in my hometown. During the pandemic, being classified as an essential worker made me appreciate our industry even more and I’m proud to call myself a banker. I strive to make a difference every day and being a banker gives me the opportunity to help our customers and our community.
HOW DO YOU CONTINUE TO DEVELOP AS A BANKER AND LEADER?
There’s a quote from Albert Einstein I think is so true and keeps me going… “Once you stop learning, you start dying.” I love the feeling of learning something new every day which contributes to my development as a banker and leader. I attend regular industry webinars and workshops to stay up to date. Networking and mentors are crucial for young professionals and I’m grateful to be connected with some of the best. If you’re serious about a career in bank marketing, I encourage you to attend ABA’s Bank Marketing School. It was a game changer for me.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT FOR THE YOUNGER
GENERATION OF BANKERS TO GET INVOLVED IN THE GOINGS-ON IN OUR INDUSTRY?
It’s simple… we’re the future of banking. We must as a younger generation be connected with our leaders today to ensure our industry has future success.
IF YOU RULED THE WORLD, WHAT WOULD YOU CHANGE ON DAY 1?
