PUBLISHER’S DESK

ONOJA J. OKPANACHI PUBLISHER/CHIEF EDITOR

I SAW LOVE

PREACHED AND PRACTICED Dr. Alidu Moses Abu and his team at the Garden of the Lord Prayer Camp, Ojuwo, Anyigba in Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi state brought the love of Christmas down to the people irrespective of economic and social status. The team even went beyond the boundaries of religion to show love to all.

others. Christmas is significantly about sacrifice - to come into a situation of helping someone not necessarily because the situation will run you down but because you won’t love to see someone run down when you can be a solution to his/her challenge. The kind of love Christmas teaches is that which will not ask for anything but can give everything and this is the point that touches me most about the team at Garden of the Lord - it is indeed a selfless service.

The love shared among people at Christmas can truly make a whole lots of difference in our world today if we wake up everyday with the same mindset to make someone happy; to put smile on someone’s lips; to care about Bringing this home, I urge your neighbour and make our all sons and daughters of little count by sharing with the land, home and abroad

to develop a larger heart to take others along with them to greatness. It is time we all come out of our various rooms to the community square where we can reason together for the benefit of our dear land. We must as a matter of lifestyle make it a duty to be relevant in our various neighbourhood through our good works of love - let people around us be our concern. It’s very possible to celebrate Christmas everyday. Make it happen wherever you find yourself. Arise!

IGALA NATIONAL

PRAYER CONFERENCE

This is a dream turning real at the right time that the land needed it most. The Convener, knowing very well that beyond the prayer camp at Anyigba, there is a great need to bring the people together in their various stations and cities to pray for the land decided to launch out through the Igala National Prayer Conference (INPC) and the first major outing in Abuja (2016) recorded great success. The INPC will be engaging the people to constantly pray for the land and development of the nation at large. Recently, INPC has been engaging Igala sons and daughters very well through major social media platforms and so, it is important we all get involved in the liberation of our dear land.

At the Garden of the Lord Prayer Camp’s Christmas Carol, love was made real - the Father Christmas was not a commercial one who takes before he gives - the Father Christmas gave without collecting and that is the essence.

The carol brought people together including people of other faiths and Christmas was warmly celebrated. At the end, both the young and old were blessed with material things even as their souls were blessed spiritually too

compulsive visionary that is affecting many lives in his generation. There is no doubt that this great man is leading a quiet revolution for national renewal and development. Essentially, this is the power of perceptive thinking, courage and sound judgment, sending necessary signals to the larger society, corporate entities and policy makers in government about the resilience and triumph of an outstanding indigenous entrepreneur. Dr. Abu Moses Alidu started his career at Ericsson Nigeria Limited where he had extensive training both locally and

These are high net worth brands in Telecommunications, Human Resource, Government businesses and FMCG in contemporary Nigeria, shaping the dynamics of the sectors for good. He is also the President, Incorporated Trustee of Garden of the Lord Prayer Camp (NGO) and Igala National Prayer Conference. Considering the vastness of his investment portfolio in the nation today, Dr. Abu Moses Alidu may be seen as a super capitalist, but he is one with a difference. Like George Soros, some degree of morality still matters even in business, just as some worthy causes that bother on the lives of the people are worth addressing with personal resources. A handy case study is the tens of tertiary institution students on his scholarship awards. His now familiar value system resonates around a philosophy that we must have a

sense of community, translated to mean that we cannot be individual beneficiaries unto ourselves but that we are required to add value to our community because we have obligations to the people and that this is the best way to live. A related philosophy of life as this African golden fish subscribes is that, regardless of your family or academic background, you will make it in life if you are determined. A die-hard optimist, these critical values have actually worked for him, defining and redefining what he sees as the real big pictures of life. AWARDS 4th African Leaders Par Excellence Award, 2011. THE UNSUAL DRAMA MINISTRATION AT CHRISTMAS Unlike many Christmas carols where dramas are staged largely to depict the birth of Jesus Christ and the lessons therein, the one by the drama team of Garden of the Lord Prayer Camp took a different dimension they preached Judgement Day instead.

The dramatization successfully brought the realities of the ways we live today to bare as the life may not truly mean ticket to heaven but only our godly lifestyles can guarantee us of eternity with our heavenly father in paradise.
