Work Experience MCFARLANE ARCHITECTS: Built upon prior experience at MCG by taking on more complex building construction and project types, including Type IIIA/B and Type V construction. Managed multi-story renovation projects ranging from 20,000 to 140,000 square feet, converting existing office spaces into office/laboratory, research, development, and manufacturing facilities within the BioTech sector. Project work included wood-framed, tilt-up concrete panel, concrete/metal deck, and steel-framed construction. In addition to full-scope responsibilities from schematic design through construction administration, served as one of the primary team members responsible for generating as-built 3D Revit models to support CD development. These models incorporated existing architectural and structural conditions as well as new design elements for major renovation projects. MCG ARCHITECTURE: Started as a draftsman on the “Starbucks Team” and quickly advanced to coordinating project scope and expectations between the client, developers, and contractors on behalf of Starbucks. Produced complete Construction Document sets, including site analysis, jurisdictional and code research, schematic design, and test fits. Promoted to Job Captain in February 2019, taking on management of more than 30 Starbucks projects simultaneously. Led a team of 2–4 staff while maintaining personal production responsibilities, delivering an average of three CD sets per month. Oversaw quality assurance, attended weekly client meetings, and coordinated directly with consultants (MEP, structural, civil, and landscape), general contractors, landlord shell teams, and permit expeditors. Managed the full project lifecycle from site survey analysis through store opening.
