The Australian Government is providing families with school age children a free NBN Service.
To check if you qualify follow these simple steps:
• Contact the National Referral Centre on 1800 954 610 (Mon-Fri 10am-6pm AEDT)
• * The National Referral Centre team will check your residential address and ask you some basic questions to determine if you qualify for the initiative.
To qualify families and carers must:
• Have a school age student at home (full or part-time), enrolled in an Australian school (up to year 12 including kindergarten).
• Not have an active NBN network internet service at your current residential address now or in the past 14 days.
• Live in a premise that can access the NBN network through a standard connection.

Energy Saving Tips
Switch off appliances at the wall when not in use.

Illegal dumping is the dumping or storing of rubbish in a public place, including a nature strip, without licence or approval. It causes significant issues for residents and the environment.
You can call Queanbeyan-Palerang Council on 1300 735 025 for wasterelated issues, including rubbish dumping. You can also contact the council by email at council@qprc.nsw.gov.au sw.gov.au.
Anglicare’s Food Fair initiative is a community pantry that will help lowincome families purchase groceries at heavily discounted prices. Food Fair is run within Anglicare Retail in Queanbeyan and is stocked with a wide range of grocery items including meat products and seasonal fresh fruit and vegetables.
Food Fair is open Tuesday-Friday between 10:30am - 4:00pm. Food Fair memberships are available with a small sign-up fee and applicants must have a Centrelink card, a Health Care Card or a proven low income.
Groceries and meat products are purchased at a per-kilo rate and some items are available for free.
