ECOSANS TOILET

2021 | AUROVILLE | ECO-TOILET

This toilet was designed in Auroville for a commercial unit embodying both sustainability and innovation. The Ecosans toilet system smartly separates liquid and solid waste, making composting and nutrient recycling straightforward. Built with sturdy, eco-friendly materialsfrom rammed earth for foundation to compressed stabilised earth block(CSEB) for walls, it perfectly aligns with green living principles

The value of an eco-san toilet is immense. It saves water, cuts down on pollution, and turns human waste into useful compost. By reducing the environmental impact of sanitation, it supports organic farming and fosters a sustainable, closed-loop system. This makes it a crucial part of eco-friendly infrastructure in both cities and rural areas.
