As the summer of 2023 enters its final few weeks, today we stage our last Monday evening race meeting of the year with the Ultimate‘80s Racenight Extravaganza bringing us the greatest hits from one of the most innovative and colourful decades in the history of pop music.
After the final race, DJ Brenton will be spinning the hottest hits and transporting us back in time through four decades, reviving the magic of the New Wave and Synth-pop era amidst the catchiest of soundtracks, as we create an unforgettable party atmosphere on the paddock lawn.
However, the season at Royal Windsor has not quite finished yet because we return for three Monday afternoon fixtures next month on 9, 16 and 23 October. The last of these, the Season Finale, will offer free entry for those of you who apply for the limited number of complimentary tickets currently available online
Enhanced packages are also available for all three October dates on our website windsorracecourse.co.uk, including the Royal River with serene return travel by riverboat from the town centre, and dedicated places in the panoramic 1866 Restaurant including exclusive window tables with the very best views of the action.
Preparations are still continuing for the return of jump racing to the racecourse in December 2024, and we are excited at the prospect of seeing top hurdlers and chasers tackling a brandnew track which is being constructed around the perimeter of the familiar figure-of-eight Flat-racing circuit
There is, therefore, plenty to look ahead to next year, and we hope you will be able to be part of our adventure as it begins to take shape. In the meantime, we are all gearing up to enjoy the concluding music evening of the summer tonight before another memorable racing season draws to a close in the autumn.
Best wishes
Liam Johnson Executive DirectorThe Racecourse Executive would like to thank our sponsors today.

Each horse has been given a star rating, these are defined below:
HHHHH Selected to win the race
HHHHI Good chance of being placed.
HHHII By no means out of the reckoning but at least one or two hold stronger claims
HHIII Unlikely to win but not totally without hope
HIIII Can be given little or no chance.

C - Course winner
D - Distance winner
CD - Course & Distance winner
The BHA Handicappers allot ratings to horses once they have taken part in a sufficient number of races to enable the Handicappers to make a numerical assessment of each horse’s ability.
The principal purpose of the ratings is to determine the weight to be carried by each runner in handicap races, with the Handicappers aiming to provide each participant with an equal chance based on its best recent form under its optimum conditions. A horse rated 100, for example, would be set to carry 1lb more than a horse rated 99 (ignoring any penalties or allowances).
The ratings published in the racecard for handicap races are the ratings that were used to calculate the weight to be carried by each horse, whilst in non-handicaps races the rating shown is that of each runner at the time that the entries for the race were confirmed Any subsequently published change to a rating, either up or down, is shown in brackets following the rating.
