Next Thursday we return with day four of the Racing League the team competition in which London and the South, managed by TV presenter Matt Chapman, are the current leaders. Tickets are available through our website windsor-racecourse.co.uk, and we hope that you will be able to join us then for a special evening of fun and drama.
Best Wishes Liam Johnson Executive Director
Welcome to one of the top fixtures of Windsor’s annual racing calendar Ladies Evening It’s guaranteed to be our most stylish race meeting of the year! Sumptuous outfits and hats will be a colourful backdrop to the evening’s action, which comprises seven exciting races. Combining that with a delicious range of food and drink, you are sure you have an evening out to remember here on the banks of the River Thames. On the track, we are delighted to stage our highest-rated race of the year, the Sytner Sunningdale & Maidenhead BMW Winter Hill Stakes at 6.35. A Group 3 event over a mile and a quarter, it has attracted a typically classy entry from some of the country’s most successful stables.
The Royal Windsor August Stakes at 6.05 is another contest for talented middle-distance horses, this time over one circuit of the figure-of-eight circuit As has been the case all summer, we are looking forward to enjoying the skills of many of the country’s leading riders, several of them with an interest in this season’s race to be champion jockey.
WELCOME
After racing today, please head to the paddock lawn, where superstar Ronan Keating will treat us to a headline set as he whirls through nearly three decades of pop hits. The nearby street food stalls and bars will remain open as the sun goes down, making it a perfect end to a memorable day at the races.

ABBREVIATIONS
The ratings published in the racecard for handicap races are the ratings that were used to calculate the weight to be carried by each horse, whilst in non-handicaps races the rating shown is that of each runner at the time that the entries for the race were confirmed Any subsequently published change to a rating, either up or down, is shown brackets following the rating.
Beaten Favourite C Course winner D Distance winner CD Course & Distance winner Colour of horse Sex of horse
BF
The principal purpose of the ratings is to determine the weight to be carried by each runner in handicap races, with the Handicappers aiming to provide each participant with an equal chance based on its best recent orm under its optimum conditions. A horse rated 100, for example, would be set to carry 1lb more than a horse rated 99 (ignoring any penalties or allowances).
