LEADING COURSE TRAINER (20-25): O Murphy (57 wins from 254 runners, 22%) runs FINGLE BRIDGE TRAINER-IN-FORM (LAST 14 DAYS): D Skelton (9 wins from 75 runners, 12%) runs LARGY BELTER LONGEST TRAVELLER: PHANTOMOFTHEPOINTS trained by D Pipe, Wellington, 174 miles.

FINGLE BRIDGE stands out on account of both form and potential and, barring accidents, he should have no trouble in going one better than on his chase debut at Exeter The form of that race was given a double boost at Sandown on Saturday, with the pair that he split at Exeter, Lulamba and Salver, both landing graded events in fine style. Phantomofthepoints is the clear pick for forecast purposes ahead of Largy Belter, who is probably more one for the longer-term.

CARISMATIC SOLDIER shaped well on his reappearance at Wetherby when staying on into third and with this step up in distance seeming sure to suit he looks the way to go. Handicap debutant Alan Bresil should ensure Olly Murphy’s progressive sort doesn’t have things all his own way though, while Oh My Johnny and Jolie Baie need factoring in too.

LEADING COURSE TRAINER (20-25): O Murphy (57 wins from 254 runners, 22%) runs HYPERBOLE TRAINER-IN-FORM (LAST 14 DAYS): O Murphy (7 wins from 56 runners, 12%) runs HYPERBOLE LONGEST TRAVELLER: HIGHBURY HILL trained by N Hawke, Tiverton, 174 miles.

HARD DEALT won a maiden hurdle at Worcester in May and should come on significantly from her recent Exeter run where she shaped as if needing the outing after six months off. This likeable mare looks ready to resume her progress now Highbury Hill has been knocking on the door and would have finished closer at Chepstow but for a late error, while Queen of Steel appeals as the type to bounce back quickly from a poor run.
