MISS GOLDFIRE arrives at the top of her game and also holds the edge on form so can follow up in her hat-trick attempt. The progressive Deep Purple should ensure that Harry Fry’s thriving mare doesn’t have things all her own way though, with El Galactico not discounted either.

WEIGHTWATCHER: RUSSIAN VIRTUE won off a handicap mark of 114, his rating is now down 9lb to 105. LONGEST TRAVELLER: RUSSIAN VIRTUE trained by D Thompson, Darlington, 146 miles.

The market will reveal plenty here with the trio returning from lengthy absences for new yards all making lots of appeal. CRYSTAL MER looks just about the pick of them with Sean Bowen booked, though Junior des Bordes and Broken Bond are interesting. Scintillante is probably the solid option.
