LEADING COURSE TRAINER (20-25): D McCain (23 wins from 156 runners, 15%) runs SPLIT TRAINER-IN-FORM (LAST 14 DAYS): J P O’Brien (18 wins from 75 runners, 24%) runs DIGNAM FANCY THAT: D McCain won this race in 2018 and 2021. The stable runs SPLIT today. LONGEST TRAVELLER: DIGNAM trained by J P O’Brien, Ireland.
DIGNAM should be more clued up in the jumping department on the back of last week’s Newton Abbot success and can prove too strong for former stablemate Junkyard Dog and make it 2-2 over hurdles. Zaraquelle may prove best of the rest having switched to the prolific James Owen stable ahead of her hurdle debut.

In loving memory of Stan Price, His passion was horse racing and loved a punt from time to time. Stan was a member of Uttoxeter race course and had been coming to meetings since the 1950’s. Stan was involved in many horse racing syndicates and enjoyed watching his horses. Uttoxeter was not only a special place where Stan enjoyed watching racing he also met up with many of his pals here. Before Stan died, the race course managed to some how contact a family member to express concerns as they had not seen Stan for a while. This meant a lot to the family and we would like to thank the race course for their condolences. Stan would be honoured to have a race sponsored in memory of him at his favourite race course

Although KEEL STRAND only had 3/4 length to spare at the line at Newton Abbot last time he was a bit more dominant than that winning margin and is taken to extend his winning run to 4. Party Business is back on a good mark and has shown better signs lately so he’s second choice ahead of the thriving Saint Bibiana.
