Just the 2 runners but there are plenty of questions to answer. LAURENS BAY has to prove his stamina for 3m but this is unlikely to be a searching test and representing an in-form yard, he has a more compelling profile than Dartan.

The stable runs KYKOROCK today. LONGEST TRAVELLER: PURPLE OWL trained by D Pipe, Wellington, 174 miles.

STORM GEORGE built on a taking debut win when fifth in the Grade 2 bumper at Aintree in the spring, so he makes plenty of appeal now switching to hurdling. White Riot also progressed well in the bumper sphere and seems sure to do well over jumps given his physique, with Shabalko D’herm another to note for an in-form stable.

It’s likely that LOOKAWAY’s campaign will be channeled towards targets over fences, but his fine record when fresh offers plenty of hope that he will be fully revved up for this first run following 11 months off and the fact that he’s unbeaten in three visits to this course also augurs well. Into The Park is probably capable of better than he has shown thus far and the 6-y-o is feared most ahead of Masked Dance.

HORSE AND JOCKEY WELFARE AT UTTOXETER

Nothing matters more to us when racing than the safety and welfare of both horse and rider. Central to that is the track itself and our groundstaff do everything in their power to provide an optimum racing surface On duty today we also have a dedicated and experienced team of highly-qualified Vets, Doctors and Paramedics following the action at every stage. Their key responsibility is to monitor and provide care to the competitors throughout their time at the racecourse. The locations and vehicle movements of these skilled specialists during racing are designed to provide a rapid response to any incident across the site We also have a high-specification horse ambulance in attendance at every fixture to enable safe transport of a horse from the track to our on-site veterinary treatment facility for further treatment, or to the nearest equine referral hospital

It is our standard practice to erect screens around any horse or jockey requiring attention on the course as this provides privacy and a safe, calm environment in which to accurately diagnose and treat the patient as necessary. Please do not assume the worst if screens are erected around a horse We are fully committed to minimizing risk in our sport, to dealing professionally and efficiently with any injury, and to maintaining the highest possible quality of care for the horses and jockeys racing here today.
