A new innovation in Racing League 2022 will see each of the managers of the seven competing teams having the opportunity to play a Joker on any two of the 42 races. When played, the Joker will double the points won by the two horses representing a team in a given race. The manager will announce his intention to play a Joker in the Paddock, directly before the selected race This will be done by placing a Joker token alongside the team name on the scoreboard in the Paddock.
