WELCOME
Welcome everyone today to Royal Windsor Racecourse for another wonderful evening of Monday Night Racing
Royal Ascot is over for another year, the entire week was bathed in blazing sunshine and once again proved a fantastic showcase for our sport of Flat Racing with around a quarter of a million people visiting the racecourse during the week I was fortunate enough to attend on Thursday as a guest of Ascot and was so impressed by the sheer scale of the whole operation and the attention to detail across all price points. I am firmly of the opinion that horse-racing needs to be accessible to everyone and then scaled up accordingly so that as many people as possible can have the opportunity to enjoy a day/evening out at the races.
It is very much business as usual for us this week at Windsor as we look to host an 8-race racecard this evening I should point out to everyone that it pays to get to our racecourse early on racedays with our Sip & Save promotion. For the first hour after gates open, we are offering 50% off all draught products or £10 off bottles of wine, prosecco, champagne and jugs of Pimms. This promotion will run for every Windsor raceday this summer, so do please arrive early to make the most of it
This coming Saturday is Ladies Day, always one of the busiest days of the year in the Windsor calendar and based on pre-raceday sales, we are eagerly anticipating another bumper crowd. A range of incredible prizes will be on offer for the Best Dressed Ladies, so we look forward to seeing a plethora of colourful outfits on display! Post-racing on Saturday, the After Party will feature an 80s Explosion on the main stage in the Paddock Lawn with all the great singalong tunes from that decade, so it is a party not to be missed Royal Windsor Racecourse branded flip-flops will be on sale in The Hat Shop near the Club Entrance for anyone who needs to give their feet a rest!
In the meantime, I hope you have a really enjoyable evening and wish you the very best of luck with your bets at the home of Monday Night Racing!

Can be given little or no chance.

OFFICIAL BHA RATINGS EXPLAINED
The BHA Handicappers allot ratings to horses once they have taken part in a sufficient number of races to enable the Handicappers to make a numerical assessment of each horse’s ability.
The principal purpose of the ratings is to determine the weight to be carried by each runner in handicap races, with the Handicappers aiming to provide each participant with an equal chance based on its best recent form under its optimum conditions. A horse rated 100, for example, would be set to carry 1lb more than a horse rated 99 (ignoring any penalties or allowances).
The ratings published in the racecard for handicap races are the ratings that were used to calculate the weight to be carried by each horse, whilst in non-handicaps races the rating shown is that of each runner at the time that the entries for the race were confirmed Any subsequently published change to a rating, either up or down, is shown in brackets following the rating

A low draw is normally important over sprint trips here and the two most interesting runners here are drawn in stalls 1 and 2. Preference is for SOUTHBANK, who is still well treated on grass compared to the AW having made a winning debut for new connections a month ago Vape was a big eye-catcher on his penultimate start, with Call Glory also of interest with headgear back on.

TWILIGHT MOON highlighted her turn was near when runner-up in a 9-runner handicap at Bath 9 days ago (pulled clear of the rest) and she looks to hold solid claims of proving the point here. Solar Pass couldn’t justify support on handicap debut at Wolverhampton 4 weeks ago but may be sharper now given that was her first start for 5 months Bondi is a handicap newcomer to note.

Nothing matters more to us when racing than the safety and welfare of both horse and rider Central to that is the track itself and our groundstaff do everything in their power to provide an optimum racing surface. On duty today we also have a dedicated and experienced team of highly-qualified Vets, Doctors and Paramedics following the action at every stage Their key responsibility is to monitor and provide care to the competitors throughout their time at the racecourse The locations and vehicle movements of these skilled specialists during racing are designed to provide a rapid response to any incident across the site. We also have a high-specification horse ambulance in attendance at every fixture to enable safe transport of a horse from the track to our on-site veterinary treatment facility for further treatment, or to the nearest equine referral hospital
It is our standard practice to erect screens around any horse or jockey requiring attention on the course as this provides privacy and a safe, calm environment in which to accurately diagnose and treat the patient as necessary. Please do not assume the worst if screens are erected around a horse We are fully committed to minimizing risk in our sport, to dealing professionally and efficiently with any injury, and to maintaining the highest possible quality of care for the horses and jockeys racing here today.
