LIFETIME LEGEND has improved from run to run this season, barely having to come off the bridle to break his maiden at Catterick last week, so is taken to defy a 7lb penalty in a competitive-looking event. Forever Blessed looked a useful juvenile last term and is better than he was able to show on his return, whilst Pyramid Place and Kotmask also arrive in good heart and merit serious respect.

Commitment To Horse Welfare

We are committed to minimising risks, dealing quickly and humanely with injuries and maintaining the highest level of care At every meeting there are three specially qualified Equine vets appointed to look after the welfare of all horses in action

A British Horseracing Authority Veterinary Officer is also in attendance working closely with the racecourse veterinary team. This is to ensure that any injury to a horse is recorded, so that it can be monitored when it returns to racing.

It is now a standard practice for screens to be erected around any horse receiving veterinary attention on the course This does not reflect the severity of an injury, but allows the vet some privacy in which to administer treatment and provides the horse with a calmer environment Please do not assume the worst if you see screens erected around a fallen horse.

To find out more about our Equine Welfare policy, please visit our website: www.fontwellpark.co.uk
