PLEASE HELP FEED OUR SANCTUARY RESIDENTS THIS WINTER

Your donation will make a huge the difference.

Winter has really hit the Racehorse Sanctuary and Rehoming Centre hard with the extended freezing conditions on top of the usual cold, very wet and windy weather. This has led to the horses needing extra feed, supplements, and in some cases, medication which is essential in keeping them healthy and happy during these long winter months

The increase in costs come in the form of extra good quality hay, plenty of fibre rich feed and bedding such as straw and shavings, all of which have dramatically increased in price since the summer due to the cost of energy crisis.

Our horse's wellbeing also relies on them being able to have some turnout every day so that they can move freely and have the all important grazing time which helps keep their gut, physical and mental health at its best So regular paddock fencing and maintenance is essential. And with the cost of post and rail also increasing dramatically we really need your help THANK YOU

RACE STATS

LEADING COURSE TRAINER (17-22): G L Moore (79 wins from 377 runners, 21%) runs GOSHEN TRAINER-IN-FORM (LAST 14 DAYS): P Nicholls (10 wins from 43 runners, 23%) runs KNAPPERS HILL LONGEST TRAVELLER: PROSCHEMA trained by D Skelton, Alcester, 126 miles.

GOSHEN isn’t a chaser, so his latest effort is easily excused, and this classy sort can get back to winning ways in what appears to be a tightly-knit Grade 2. 2021-winner and last year’s runner-up Brewin’upastorm is a big player and Knappers Hill can’t be discounted. A case could be made for the remaining duo, too.

RACE STATS RACE SUMMARY

A competitive event, with a chance taken that FOUNTAINS CHIEF, now 4lb lower than on his last start, will regain the winning thread, with quick ground and anticipated competition for the lead likely to see him to better effect here. Wavering Down has enjoyed a good season whilst Watergrange Jack also arrives in form and they can fill the frame alongside handicap newcomer Peace of Rome
