Hello and welcome to Doncaster Racecourse for our Irish Raceday and final jumps fixture of the season. We are delighted you’ve joined us here today and we would like to thank our sponsor Virgin Bet and Live Score Bet for their generous support of today’s fixture
There are 6 races on the card and our raceday presenter Bobby Beevers and resident tipster will be in the Parade Ring at around 1:15pm to run through the racecard with you and hopefully pick you out some winners! We’ll also be broadcasting Gold Cup Day at the Cheltenham Festival live on our screens with full commentary
We are pleased to welcome the Nadine Martin Academy of Irish Dancing to Doncaster Racecourse, who will be performing for you throughout the day. Nadine Martin Academy was established in 2017 in Thorne, Doncaster by two-times World Champion Nadine Martin. Since then, the school has produced many local, regional and international champions.
Our next fixture here on Town Moor is on Saturday 29th March where Doncaster Racecourse officially opens the British Turf Flat racing season with the William Hill Lincoln meeting. Our Lincoln Family Fun Day is on Sunday 30th March and will include free entertainment and activities for the whole family including a circus workshop, character appearances, Shetland pony racing, a magician, a colouring station, a reading corner and much, much more!
NEW to Doncaster Racecourse this year on Saturday 26th April is the Sausage and Cider Raceday. This exciting event combines the thrill of live horse racing with a delicious selection of sausages and refreshing ciders, making for a fantastic day out. Whether you’re a racing fan, a foodie, or just looking for a great atmosphere, this is the perfect way to spend a spring Saturday.
Our Summer Saturday lineups have officially been announced for summer, we kick off the first Saturday on the 3rd May with our Daytime Disco. Get ready to groove, visit www.doncaster-racecourse.co.uk to purchase tickets and view the full lineup.
We hope you enjoy your day here with us on Town Moor and as always, we welcome any feedback you may have
Rachel Harwood, Executive Director

Each horse has been given a star rating, these are defined below:
HHHHH Selected to win the race
HHHHI Good chance of being placed.
HHHII By no means out of the reckoning but at least one or two hold stronger claims HHIII Unlikely to win but not totally without hope. HIIII Can be given little or no chance.
The BHA Handicappers allot ratings to horses once they have taken part in a sufficient number of races to enable the Handicappers to make a numerical assessment of each horse’s ability.
The principal purpose of the ratings is to determine the weight to be carried by each runner in handicap races, with the Handicappers aiming to provide each participant with an equal chance based on its best recent form under its optimum conditions A horse rated 100, for example, would be set to carry 1lb more than a horse rated 99 (ignoring any penalties or allowances).
The ratings published in the racecard for handicap races are the ratings that were used to calculate the weight to be carried by each horse, whilst in non-handicaps races the rating shown is that of each runner at the time that the entries for the race were confirmed. Any subsequently published change to a rating, either up or down, is shown in brackets following the rating.
