Michael Maine 20.06.56 to 31.07.16

Sadly my wonderful husband Mike died from a Brain Tumour in July 2016 aged just 60 years old We moved to the Chepstow area for an “escape to the country” in lieu of retirement to enjoy gardening and our horses. Finding our dream home with land, stables and a large garden just gave us the “dream” and we moved in November 2012.

After both getting cancer diagnosed within 3 days of each other in February 2015, our dream was shattered. I am still here to keep his memory alive but sadly Mike lost his fight in July 2016. He loved his garden –especially owning his first sit on mower. He took early retirement so as to enjoy this beautiful home we had found.

Mike and I have been involved with racehorse ownership for over 20 years –with small syndicates as well as ownership. Our horse First Mohican, who we had a share of (retired) took us to Royal Ascot –which was an amazing day.

My family – a daughter and son, and their partners are continuing to raise funds for Brain Tumour Research. If you wish to contribute to Brain Tumour Research please follow https://michael-maine.muchloved.com/

Michael-maine.much loved .com

I am hoping this race, each year will allow us all to remember such a wonderful, kind and generous man.

Thank you
