Al Basti Equiworld, Dubai the UAE’s leading distributor of horse feeds and supplements proudly sponsors the Owners & Trainers facilities at Bath Racecourse
Welcome to Bath Racecourse. As we come to the end of another great season here at Bath, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been part of what has been a memorable year for us. From a brilliant season of racing to our music nights and the excitement of Bath’s Ride of the year, it has been a pleasure to welcome so many of you through our gates. We have celebrated some wonderful moments on the track, including Blue Hero winning for the 11th time at Bath, a fantastic achievement and a special highlight of our season. None of this would be possible without the support we receive from our sponsors and owners and trainers and annual members who play such an important role in making racing at Bath what it is. Behind every raceday and every event is a huge amount of hard work, commitment and passion. From our raceday teams welcoming you through the gates to the many colleagues working behind the scenes, I am incredibly proud of everyone who helps bring Bath Racecourse to life. We simply wouldn’t be who we are without you all. As we enjoy our final race meeting of the season, I hope you will join us in celebrating everything we have achieved together this year. Whether you have joined us for the racing, the entertainment or simply to enjoy a day out with friends and family, thank you for being part of it. We look forward to welcoming you back in 2027 when we will kick off the turf flat season on Good Friday and continue to showcase all that Bath Racecourse has to offer. For one the final time this season we will watch horses fade into the distance across the beautiful city of Bath. See you in 2027! Hannah Chree Executive Director

Please remember in the event of an emergency, to take your belongings with you and, under the direction of Bath Racecourse representatives, proceed quickly and quietly to the agreed area. HORSE AND JOCKEY WELFARE AT BATH Nothing matters more to us when racing than the safety and welfare of both horse and rider. Central to that is the track itself and our groundstaff do everything in their power to provide an optimum racing
surface. On duty today we also have a dedicated and experienced team of highly-qualified Vets, Doctors and Paramedics following the action at every stage. Their key responsibility is to monitor and provide care to the competitors throughout their time at the racecourse. The locations and vehicle movements of these skilled specialists during racing are designed to provide a rapid response to any incident across the site. We also have a high-specification horse ambulance in attendance at every fixture to enable safe transport of a horse from the track to our on-site veterinary treatment facility for further treatment, or to the nearest equine referral hospital. It is our standard practice to erect screens around any horse or jockey requiring attention on the course as this provides privacy and a safe, calm environment in which to accurately diagnose and treat the patient as necessary. Please do not assume the worst if screens are erected around a horse. We are fully committed to minimizing risk in our sport, to dealing professionally and efficiently with any injury, and to maintaining the highest possible quality of care for the horses and jockeys racing here today. To find out more about our Equine Welfare policy, please visit our website www.bath-racecourse.co.uk. Star Ratings Explained Each horse has been given a star rating, these are defined below: HHHHH Selected to win the race.
HHIII Unlikely to win but not totally without hope.
HHHHI Good chance of being placed. HHHII By no means out of the reckoning but at least one or two hold stronger claims
HIIII Can be given little or no chance.
OFFICIAL BHA RATINGS EXPLAINED The BHA Handicappers allot ratings to horses once they have taken part in a sufficient number of races to enable the Handicappers to make a numerical assessment of each horse’s ability. The principal purpose of the ratings is to determine the weight to be carried by each runner in handicap races, with the Handicappers aiming to provide each participant with an equal chance based on its best recent form under its optimum conditions. A horse rated 100, for example, would be set to carry 1lb more than a horse rated 99 (ignoring any penalties or allowances). The ratings published in the racecard for handicap races are the ratings that were used to calculate the weight to be carried by each horse, whilst in non-handicaps races the rating shown is that of each runner at the time that the entries for the race were confirmed. Any subsequently published change to a rating, either up or down, is shown in brackets following the rating.
You must be 18 or over to place a bet You may be asked to provide proof of your age when placing a bet If you cannot produce this your bet will not be accepted
