Al Basti Equiword, Dubai the UAE’s leading distributor or horse feeds and supplements proudly sponsors the Owners & Trainers facilities at Bath Racecourse
Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen and a very warm welcome to Bath Racecourse. We’re absolutely delighted to have you with us today for what promises to be a fantastic raceday.
First and foremost, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to today’s sponsors Signs Express, Andersons Drainage, Euram Air Leases, the European Breeders Fund, the Moon Family, and Eden Cottee-Jones. Their generous support makes today’s racing possible and helps us continue delivering top-quality events here at Bath. We are truly grateful for their commitment.
Today’s raceday features eight very competitive races, taking place on soft ground conditions. The action gets underway with the return of Rupert The Prince, who is back at Bath following his victory on similar going, and he’ll be joined by many familiar Bath regulars throughout the afternoon.
We round off our exciting card with an amateur race that will see 13 amateur jockeys heading to post, bringing a spirited conclusion to what promises to be a fantastic day of racing.
Should the weather take a turn, we’re pleased to let you know that our Paddock Pavilion Marquee will be open as a wet weather bar, providing shelter and refreshments for all racegoers. If you’re looking to stay dry and enjoy a drink, please head over and make use of this covered space.
After racing, the fun continues as we welcome the legendary Wurzels, performing live here at the racecourse. It’s the perfect way to round off a great day of entertainment so do stay and enjoy the show!
Looking ahead, don’t miss our Beckford Stakes Raceday and Property & Construction Raceday on Wednesday, 9th October We’re pleased to host a special networking event in the Royal Crescent Restaurant, with tables still available. If you’d like to join us, please contact us at info@bath-racecourse.co.uk and our team will be happy to assist.
We’re also excited to introduce our new Brunch at Bath package, available at our remaining October fixtures. This exclusive package offers a relaxed and delicious way to experience our hospitality boxes - and there’s still availability throughout the month. Be sure to book in early and treat yourself to a special day at the races.
On behalf of all the team here at Bath Racecourse, thank you once again for joining us. Have a wonderful afternoon and evening with us, and best of luck if you’re having a flutter!

surface. On duty today we also have a dedicated and experienced team of highly-qualified Vets, Doctors and Paramedics following the action at every stage. Their key responsibility is to monitor and provide care to the competitors throughout their time at the racecourse. The locations and vehicle movements of these skilled specialists during racing are designed to provide a rapid response to any incident across the site. We also have a high-specification horse ambulance in attendance at every fixture to enable safe transport of a horse from the track to our on-site veterinary treatment facility for further treatment, or to the nearest equine referral hospital.
It is our standard practice to erect screens around any horse or jockey requiring attention on the course as this provides privacy and a safe, calm environment in which to accurately diagnose and treat the patient as necessary Please do not assume the worst if screens are erected around a horse. We are fully committed to minimizing risk in our sport, to dealing professionally and efficiently with any injury, and to maintaining the highest possible quality of care for the horses and jockeys racing here today. Aidan O’Brien holds a very strong hand in his bid to land a third successive Leger with LAMBOURN and Scandinavia both leading contenders on form. There’s little to separate them in truth, with the former earning the narrow vote given he is expected to bounce back to something like his Derby form, having looked and shaped as if better for the outing in the Great Voltigeur at York last time. Carmers shouldn’t be at all underestimated however especially as a return to this trip could unlock more.
Happy 18th Birthdayto Abbie Moon from all your family & friends! Hoping you have a great day celebrating

Several with chances in a competitive opener, with the suggestion being Northern raider SOMEBODYCOMEGETHER who would have been closer at Redcar last time but for being denied a clear run. Gregorians Star made a good start to his handicap career on the Flat over a much shorter trip here recently and will be a threat if his stamina holds. Last-time-out 1 3/4m course 1-2 Rupert The Prince and Wannabeawallaby are also shortlisted along with Star of Jupiter.

HORSE AND JOCKEY WELFARE AT BATH
Nothing matters more to us when racing than the safety and welfare of both horse and rider. Central to that is the track itself and our groundstaff do everything in their power to provide an optimum racing surface. On duty todaywe also have a dedicated and experienced team of highly-qualifiedVets, Doctors and Paramedics following the action at every stage. Their key responsibility is to monitor and provide care to the competitors throughout theirtime at the racecourse. The locations andvehicle movements of these skilled specialists during racing are designed to provide a rapid response to anyincident across the site.
To find out more about our Equine Welfare policy, please visit our website www.bath-racecourse.co.uk
World Horse Welfare is the only equine welfare charity that actively supports the responsible involvement of horses in sport.
With racehorse welfare under the spotlight like never before, we provide independent advice to British racing to help them meet the high expectations of everyone in the sport and outside of it.
British Stallion Studs will contribute £2million towards British prize-money in 2025, bringing our total investment to £40million since we were founded in 1983
