We’re delighted to have you with us as we enjoy a competitive card of racing before rounding off the evening with live music on the Main Lawn. Once the final race has been run, keep the celebrations going as our live band brings the unmistakable sounds of the Wurzels to Bath Racecourse - the perfect way to finish a great summer evening.
Our feature storyline on the track comes in the final race, where the remarkable Blue Hero bids to write another chapter in its Bath Racecourse history. A ten-time winner here, Blue Hero will be aiming to record an incredible 11th victory at this unique course. It’s a remarkable achievement already, and we wish all those connected with the horse the very best of luck. I would also like to extend my thanks to all the owners and trainers who have chosen to support Bath Racecourse by running their horses with us today. Your continued support is greatly appreciated and is vital in making fixtures such as this possible.
The recent spell of hot weather has presented its challenges and I would like to thank our dedicated grounds team, who have worked around the clock alongside our Clerk of the Course, Ben Hicks, to ensure we are able to provide a safe, consistent racing surface for both horses and riders. Their commitment and professionalism behind the scenes deserve enormous credit.
One of my favourite parts of a raceday is hearing the different reasons why people choose to come racing. Whether you’re here for the sport, the social occasion, the music, or simply to enjoy a summer evening with friends and family, I’d love to hear your story. In the event of racing being abandoned, the following rules apply:
• Abandonment before completion of the 1st race –badge valid for the next race meeting or full refund
• Abandonment prior to completion of the 3rd race –50% refund
• Abandonment thereafter – no refund
No refunds will be made on the day of racing. All refunds should be claimed in writing within 14 days of the abandoned meeting.

Racegoers are politely requested to ensure their badges are worn and to be clearly visible at all times. If you have purchased an E-ticket, please ensure you have this with you at all times.
DISABLED USERS
Adisabled viewing ramp is available forwheelchair users by the Winning Post. There is disabled access to both restaurants and a variety of disabled toilets across the racecourse.

Dogs, with the exception of guide dogs, are not permitted within any of the enclosures.

This information is precautionary and we trust the procedures will not be needed.
Please remember in the event of an emergency, to take your belongings with you and, under the direction of Bath Racecourse representatives, proceed quickly and quietly to the agreed area.
HORSE AND JOCKEY WELFARE AT BATH
Nothing matters more to us when racing than the safety and welfare of both horse and rider Central to that is the track itself and our groundstaff do everything in their power to provide an optimum racing
surface. On duty todaywe also have a dedicated and experienced team of highly-qualified Vets, Doctors and Paramedics following the action at every stage. Their key responsibility is to monitor and provide care to the competitors throughout their time at the racecourse. The locations and vehicle movements of these skilled specialists during racing are designed to provide a rapid response to any incident across the site. We also have a high-specification horse ambulance in attendance at every fixture to enable safe transport of a horse from the track to our on-site veterinary treatment facility for further treatment, or to the nearest equine referral hospital.
It is our standard practice to erect screens around any horse or jockey requiring attention on the course as this provides privacy and a safe, calm environment in which to accurately diagnose and treat the patient as necessary Please do not assume the worst if screens are erected around a horse. We are fully committed to minimizing risk in our sport, to dealing professionally and efficiently with any injury, and to maintaining the highest possible quality of care for the horses and jockeys racing here today. PHOTOGRAPHY
Racegoers may take photographs for private use. However, no flash photography is allowed around the Pre-Parade Ring, Parade Ring or Winners Enclosure. Anyone with a professional/ high quality level of equipment needs to be granted permission to take photography on course in order to protect our racecourse image rights.
Please also be aware that racegoers entering Bath Racecourse do so by accepting our terms and conditions of entry, which state that their photograph may be taken and that this may be used in promotional material.
TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS
In orderto ease traffic congestion on leaving the course please would all traffic for Bath and the South West exit via the right hand lane, and traffic for Bristol and the North East exit via the left hand lane. It is hoped that these arrangements will provide a smoother exit for all patrons and your co-operation is appreciated.

Star Ratings Explained
Each horse has been given a star rating, these are defined below:
HHHHH Selected to win the race
HHHHI Good chance of being placed.
HHHII By no means out of the reckoning but at least one or two hold stronger claims
OFFICIAL BHA RATINGS EXPLAINED
HHIII Unlikely to win but not totally without hope.
HIIII Can be given little or no chance.
The BHA Handicappers allot ratings to horses once they have taken part in a sufficient number of races to enable the Handicappers to make a numerical assessment of each horse’s ability
The principal purpose of the ratings is to determine the weight to be carried by each runner in handicap races, with the Handicappers aiming to provide each participant with an equal chance based on its best recent form under its optimum conditions. A horse rated 100, for example, would be set to carry 1lb more than a horse rated 99 (ignoring any penalties or allowances).
The ratings published in the racecard for handicap races are the ratings that were used to calculate the weight to be carried by each horse, whilst in non-handicaps races the rating shown is that of each runner at the time that the entries for the race were confirmed. Any subsequently published change to a rating, either up or down, is shown in brackets following the rating.

It’s easyto understand the chances ofTrickyJenny, Havana Gift, Texas Crown and Sheer Beauty with recent form looking well up to this, especially the latter who took a contest here earlier in the month with Tricky Jenny just behind.
However Crimson Blaze, the mount of FinleyMarsh, is interesting despite having let down connections when fancied to run better last twice. This is a first run after wind surgery and should be a decent price forthose seeking a potential value option.
The 6.43pm classified stakes overan extended 5f can fall the wayofFinleyMarsh too with Jackie Brown set to go one better than last time when a beaten favourite at Nottingham.
The 7.18pm is the second of our sponsored contests and we have 6 runners over the 5½f again and it’s hard to see part Oliver Cole’s 3yo Honky Tonk Girl who has slowly been coming to the boil in four runs to date. Third last time at Nottingham and this filly will likely try and make most of the running under Mason Paetel who takes a few pounds off her back.
Afinal selection on the evening is Blue Hero, who again is ridden by Finley Marsh, in the handicap at 8.18pm, fortrainer Adrian Wintle. Always runs so well here and looks ready to win again this evening which would be a remarkable 11th course success. There will be some cheer with the locals should the 8yo do the business.

In the event of the abandonment of this qualifying race, anyhorse which has been declared to run in this race , or anyhorse entered to run in this race if the time of the abandonment was prior to the declaration stage, will be qualified to enter the Final. Anyhorse which has been eliminated from this qualifying race will also be eligible, subject to the Rules of Racing, to enterthe Final. The British Horseracing Authority has modified the Elimination and Balloting Procedures (contained in the Race Administration Code) forthe purposes of this race, such that a horse will gain protection from elimination by obtaining points throughout the series. Points will be awarded in each qualifier as follows: Winner-10 points, 2nd-8 points, 3rd-6 points, 4th-4 points, 5th-2 points, 6th-1 point. Points will also be awarded under the Bath Frequent Runner Scheme. Horses that Start in three Qualifiers at Bath during 2026 will be awarded 9 points.
