Arctic Installations PTY LTD is a leading specialist supplier and installer of insulated panel products and controlled environment doors for various applications.
Our History
Gary Burns, Managing Director of Arctic Installations, brings over 15 years of experience in controlled environment construction with him. He gained his knowledge from projects around the UK and Ireland and later from emigrating to Australia in 2010 and working in WA for 4 years before founding his own company in 2015. Since then Arctic Installations has seen steady growth each year now counting 35 employees across the Northern Territory and South Australia.
Objective
Arctic Installations are committed to delivering quality, affordable and sustainable controlled environment solutions to meet our client’s construction and operational requirements. From design and construct, supply and installation through to ongoing maintenance, Arctic has a solution for any application requiring insulated panel.
We have developed strong relationships with our customers, builders and refrigeration companies partnering together to service local businesses, supermarkets, restaurants, fruit processors, farms, abbatoirs and mines in the NT and SA on an on-going basis.

Supply of Insulated Panels
Arctic manufactures 4 different panel products:
FLUSHLINE – high-standard sandwiched insulated panels with a Self Extinguishing (FR) Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) foam
SOLACE – quality 3-in-1 insulated roofing panel consisting of a self-extinguishing (FR) expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam and two pre-painted, roll-formed steel as top and bottom skins
THERMO – PIR Insulation panels and STONECORE – mineral wool panels.

Cold Storage – Cool Rooms and Freezer Rooms
At Arctic we specialize in the tendering and erection of major built- to- last cold storage facilities in any climate. We have skillfully fabricated rooms in Australia’s variable weather conditions be it outside in the humidity of the Northern territory or in the slightly cooler conditions of a South Australian winter.
We are the architects. Our in house team are able to design rooms that are individually created, personalized and delivered for you. We also have a experienced demolition team, not only can we build you a new room we will also take down and safely dispose of old rooms.

With over 15 years experience in the construction industry he moved forward to establish Arctic installations in 2015, after having worked in Perth in the field of controlled environments where he was leading large teams for a few years. He now has his own team of 24 people.
Managing Director SA
Ryan is a qualified joiner and has been specialising in the construction of cool rooms since moving to Australia over 11 years ago. In this time he overlooked large projects such as popular supermarket chains, restaurants, cafes, factories & residential projects.
Arctic Installations has 35 employees across the Northern Territory and South Australia.
Leo Burke
Projects & Contracts Manager SA & NT
Leo has been working for Arctic installations since 2015. He has supervised and project managed many large scale projects in the NT and in Adelaide. With a back ground in recruiting high profile candidates to large scale mining projects he is able to coordinate and achieve our company goals.

Josh is a qualified carpenter from England with 15+ years experience In commercial and residential construction. From having his own residential carpentry business in England and then Making the big move to Australia to work, making him no stranger to the construction industry. Joining the panel industry (Arctic SA) back in 2018 since then has managed countless large projects such as PC2 laboratories, supermarkets, food processing plants,residential , abbatoirs, wineries, clean rooms and more.

Justin joined us in 2022. He has proven track experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, and consulting. As a forward-thinking professional, Justin brings a dynamic approach to our company while maintaining a focus on product quality and customer-centric values.

Estimator SA & NT
Drawing on his background in Construction Practice and Accounting, Henry possesses an advanced ability to interpret drawings and a keen awareness of fluctuations in quantity and pricing. With over four years of experience as an estimator in the insulated panel industry, he has successfully estimated more than 1,000 projects, spanning from thousands to millions of dollars in scale.

Draftsman & Estimator SA & NT
Bing is an engineer with several years working experience in the engineering related field. After spending about five years in America, he is glad to join the company as Estimator and drafter.

THOMAS FOODS INTERNATIONAL
We delivered:
Arctic Installations largest project to date. After the devistating fire at their excisting plant Thomas Foods was on the rebuild in a different location in Murray Bridge. With a total of 56,000m2 of insulated panels and over 200 insulate panel doors.
A lot of challenges were thrown at us with this project during Covid, but Arctic as a teeam worked through this and we are proud to say we built the largest insulated panel project in South Australia.
COLES DISTRIBUTIONS CENTRE
We delivered:
105m x 85m freezer extension to the excisting facility. With a total of 18,000m2 of panel, 3 pent houses, 13 loading docks and and upgrade to the excisting facility.
WOOLWORTHS DISTRIBUTION CENTRE
We delivered:
Woolworths distribution centre was a planned extension to an already operating cold storage unit that services the whole of South Australia. We designed, supplied, and installed 15,000 m2 and were the sole contractor on site for this project. This includes building to IPCA code and the construction of custom made by Arctic installations. This large project is an environment that we thrive in, building from the ground up ensuring that we hit our goals to deliver the project early for our client.
• Temperature control extension, smoke wall & loading docs + doors 15,000 M2
• Smoke ceiling – Installation of large-scale smoke ceiling including steel design for suspended ceiling for liquor storage. 3,000M2

We delivered:

We delivered:
One of our large projects in Darwin NT, Wyuna cold-stores was a new build for an operating cold storage unit that services the whole of Darwin NT. We designed, supplied, and installed the cold-stores project totalling 10000m2 all up.
