A LIVE / GROW CO-HOUSING PROJECT FOR SENIORS

The goal of this project is to create equitable housing specifically for people 55 & older in the Lower Price Hill community. The project strives to redefine senior living by providing a co-living model of housing that will provide more opportunities for socialization and a built in support system for residents. The project will ensure that every resident has access to fresh, healthy food through the large, shared greenhouse space where residents are encouraged to practice their gardening skills. The benefits of the greenhouse are twofold in that it provides healthy food to the residents while providing them a way to stay active and interact with others. The project seeks to redefine senior living while also keeping in mind the goals of the Green New Deal to create an equitable, sustainable housing project.
