6. Testimonials Some testimonials from our parents and teachers

“My 10 year old really enjoyed today’s Easter holiday online session! Thank you so much! He’s saying he really wishes he could attend the sessions in person but sadly we live far too far away. He’s asking if you might consider running online workshops in the future even once the pandemic has passed so kids who can’t get to London can still benefit from what you offer?” Mum, O. Gora, Glasgow
“I am very happy and pleased with the workshop. We have been wanting to join archimake for some time now but due to distance and cost we haven’t been able to yet. If there are ever any workshops closer to us, we would definitely be interested. We are also home educating so would love to to possibly organise something with the homeschooling community.
Overall my boys really enjoyed and looked forward to each session. They loved seeing the buildings, learning about them and sketching them. They enjoyed the guided drawing as well, having had the chance to experiment first. Also, the opportunity to use their imaginations to create their own buildings was something they really enjoyed. They definitely were engaged and felt confident with all the wonderful feedback. They have been really inspired, pulling out some of our books and doing “Architecture” drawings of interesting buildings they found, spending an entire afternoon doing this! It has inspired us as a family too to take out some time to do sketching when we (next) go out of buildings and spaces and to talk about it. We do not come from a design background so it’s something I look forward to exploring.
I really appreciated them having the opportunity to see what architecture involves and projects that have been worked on. Learning about how archtecture impacts the world is also something I would love them to learn more about (sustainability, eco-designs, projects for social change, and beauty).
We are really grateful to have been a part of this workshop and I can not recommend it enough! Thank you for all your hard work and the efforts in organising this for children. I’m feel it has been such a positive and invaluable experience for us. Thank you, we are grateful.” Mum, S. Khan of 7 & 9 yr olds, Twickenham
