WhereinAustraliaone mightask,"Whereareyou working"the.normalapproachinAsiawouldmore likelybe"Areyouworking?"

Oneconsequenceofthis, wethought, wasthattoo manyyouthhaveaccepted unemploymentasinevitable andsohavelosttheirinitiativetofindwork, orindeed, tocreatework.

Withoutquestion, oneof thegreatestneedsofAsiais theemancipationofwomen. Intoomanycountriesstill, womenareregardedasinferiorandlittlemorethan servantsoftheirmenfolk.

Indeed,somedelegatesindicatedthatmorethan75 percentofthemarriagesof theircountrywerestill"arranged"bytherespective parents.Naturallyenough, thisbringswithitmuch unhappinessbecauseoften marriagesareenteredinto withlittleornoreallove.
