HisLordshipthenintoned the`Veni,CreatorSpiritus' whichwascontinuedbythe Sisters'choir,afterwhich followedtheimpressive ceremonywhenSisterM St.Francisrenewedher perpetualvowsofpoverty, chastityandobedience.
Theoccasionalsermon waspreachedbytheRev. C.Cahill,C.Ss.R.whosaid thatthedepartureceremonyhadanaturalanda supernaturalaspect.
The,mustneedsbea certainsadnessforthese Sistersinleavingthose theyknewandlovedand inexchanginganaccustomedwayoflifefora newandstrangeone.
Buttherewasacompensatingsupernaturalside, too,thegreatjoyexperiencedinknowingthatthey wereansweringthecallof Christtogoforthandsave soulsandworkforHim andwithHim.
Whatsupremejoyto knowthateverythingdone underobediencewasparticularlypleasingtoChrist andparticularlyblessedby Him.
ThoseSistersdeservedto becongratulatedfortheir willingofferingofselfto beChrist'sinstrumentsin theredeemingofsouls.
Theyweretobecongratulated,too,oncarryingout thelongingofHisHoliness, PopePiusXII,whohasappealedtoReligioustogo outtothemissionfields tosavesouls.
