Intheleads,RogerSnaire drovetheplayalongwith tremendousgusto,andharvestedalotoflaughs,but he'dhavegotmorewitha morerelaxedperformance.
InthefemaleleadElsie Waresputalotofhumour intothepart,butdidn't backupherphysicalacting vocally.Hervoicewastoo thinanddidn'thavethe theatricalovertonesthepart demanded.
OftheOthers,theentire castistoolargetomention entirely,butRobertCotten gaveanappealingcharacterisationinthescenestealingroleofFirstHalberdier,andHesterBuchan showedgreatpotentialin herrelaxed,naturalacting.
