"Although93yearshave passedsinceDarwinfirst raisedthisproblem,it seemsfairtosaythatvery littleprogresshasbeen madetowardssolvingit.

Letusnowlistentoa palaeo-anthropologist-the world'sgreatestauthority onPekinman-Dr.Weidenreich,whodirectedtheexcavationsatChoukoutien withsuchbrilliantsuccess.
AccordingtoDr.Weidenreich,writingbeforehis deathin1947,eventhemost ape-likemenarenomore thanextremeexamplesof physicaldevelopmentwithinthenormalrangeof humanvariation.
Dr.Weidenreich'sauthoritativedecisionisthatall menofalltimeshavedescendedfromthesame humanstock.

Theansweris-yes.In thelowerpleistocene-and somewouldholdeven earlier-humantoolshave beenwidelydiscovered, provingtheexistenceof humanbeings,perhapsa millionyearsago.
Whycouldnottheseearliermenhavedescended fromonehumanancestor, possessingallgeneticrequirementsfortheproduc- tionoftheprimitivehominidsalreadymentionedjustas yellowmodernraces(black, andwhite)havede-scendedfromaprimitive Homosapiens?

So,theBookofGenesis beginswithaseriesof word-picturesdesignedto teachsimplefolktheabstractdoctrinethatall thingsowetheirexistence tooneGod.
